1/10

I wish I had read reviews on the website carefully, before using M&M Moving. I would have used my previous Mover. I was move twice this year, by them. Move #1 was great, but Mover #2 was not that good, worst experience for me. This is all real. In fact Brent just left my house a few hours ago, in a very wierd state of mind (see Move Disgusted in Oakville 1 Sep 06, 2011, OAKVILLE). He was yelling. Very unprofessional and uncall for. I invited him to see how bad his (subcontracted) movers were. Showed him the marks on many walls of my new house. He ignore these, and kept on stressing how good his company is. Then I showed him the hundreds of scratches and dents on my smooth dresser top, done by his mover. He blamed it on the age of the furniture. They are 29 years old, but high-end and in mint condition (my Drawer unit proves the condition), until move #2. He wanted a furniture repair company to see the dresser to prove his point. At that point I did say "Don't be stupid", because he was !!! That flip him I think, he got angry and bring up "God". Well, I am a Christian, Anglican. He started yelling and calling me names, all the way to his car. He said I wasted him time.(and I was his customer!) I don't know if his will help me with the dresser repair. Lesson learned, its better to choose the right company and avoid unneccessary inconvenience. (Will go through BBB). (See furniture scratches - VanZante from Niagara-on-the-lake 1 Jun 30, 2013, Niagara-on-the-Lake ). Update Nov 18,2014 Well I'm sure Homestars readers can see I'm getting very bad customer service from M&M Moving. Customer complaints are dealt with by insults. It is impossible to have a normal conversation with Brent. Further, I have a suspicion that he has no insurance, therefore, it is a big problem for Brent when customers' items get damage. In hindsight, I should have asked for his insurance company details before move #1, and how he treats customers who have problems with their moves.

Approximate cost of services:
$2,300.00

Company Response

Hey David, please read my entire response, it is January 2015, please respond if you feel my response is not accurate. My business partner and myself found your claim "Suspicious" however we had an open mind and took you seriously, your actions however have confirmed our "Suspicions" about your concerns. Here are verifiable facts! Home-Stars has told me they don't fact check reviews and will allow false facts to be posted, just respond if you have evidence e.t.c.You texted me at the end of the move as I asked and said all was GOOD, NO damages were reported. Please remember despite your attitude I did give you a DISCOUNT on your move in addition to my great rates. I offered 2 times to get a "Pro" to look at your concerns that you discovered AFTER the mover's left, you declined, some furniture was wrapped in plastic BEFORE the move, your furniture was 30 YEARS OLD from Eatons, an expert can determine "fresh" damage e.t.c and what caused other damage, this is critical to your concerns, WHY the refusal (Both offers are in WRITING which I have!) You DID NOT file complaint with BBB and I have A + rating, (In your complaint you said you would go "through the BBB" which turned out to be false and suspicious) I personally went to your house and you threatened me with going public and called me "STUPID" for suggesting a "PRO" look at your concerns, I was polite and professional up to this point ( some people use Home-Stars as a threat to a business, because Home-Stars knowingly allows false fact reviews, customers can change reviews if the company "Pleases them" after the bad review) Go to the BBB and read Dave's review , his tone has changed and admits he was mad at me for being rude after calling me "Stupid" and Threatening me e.t.c., He admits in writing no claim of significance happened hence no complaint submitted. You accused me of being biased against Chinese. $150.00 deductible is applied to any claim as you are aware. I texted you before this saying you are FULLY insured. (again all texts are saved) I was polite up to that point, what else could I do?Your complaint is after the movers left AFTER you texted me saying they worked hard and you can be happy with that and no damages! ( I saved ALL texts)Why didn't you do a review about the first move I did for you 4 months earlier which was "impressive" according to you? Why would you change movers and start using me? ( your previous mover is in business) NOBODY on this web-site including YOU or with the BBB in the last 2 YEARS has filed a claim! As a result I give FREE replacement value insurance unlike other movers! ( sometimes people decline to put a claim in because the first $150.00 is not covered ) Google SiteJabbers and read reviews on Home-Stars, alot of them are false negative. Dave the 2 reviews from over 2yrs ago you found turned out to be false claims which happens. I have an A+ rating with the BBB, they will lower my grade if I don't honour contracts, the BBB also protects me from false claims/false reviews. Brent Routley Owner, I am always suspicious when a customer refuses an expert's advice and also won't file a complaint with the BBB if they are sincere ( I do believe some minor touch up work under $100.00 was required, I gave a discount close to this amount in addition to my great rates for Dave)
