Matt and his team did two main repairs at our house: A) Sealing & insulating where a basement window used to be. B) Fixing a bowed plaster stairwell wall. See photos. Note: The stairwell photo doesn't show you how far out the wall actually was bowing out. A) Matt completed an interior sealing job where an old basement window used to be. This job involved framing a partial stud, new insulation, vapor barrier, drywall, mudding, sanding, etc. where old window used to be. (Exterior cement/mortar work was done by another certified contractor about 5 weeks before this.) Thermal imaging results yesterday showed former window hole area is orange, like rest of wall and with the new primer, the are looks as good as new! B) Matt also replaced an interior stairwell wall made of plaster, that bowed outward about halfway down it. (Our house was built in the 1940s.) It looks so much better now! Throughout the whole process, Matt and his team acted in a professional manner and carried out these renovation/repairs to our satisfaction! We appreciate him keeping us in the loop. Matt and his team also did a good job of cleaning up the work area. Weve already enlisted Matt for a few more renovations in the upcoming months and we look forward to seeing him and his team again! Thanks again Matt for all your hard work!
