So I have known the owners/operators of this small business since I was a child and I suspected there would be no problems dealing with them. They came over for an estimate and I gave them a cash deposit of $400 and some materials to reduce net cost, I did not ask for a receipt due to our history. The project had a tentative schedule to begin work in late August early September (2013). As you can see this this post is dated October 2014, they have not answered a single phone call/text/or voicemail to date. Due to this I have switched contractors and am perusing them to refund my original deposit + materials. I no longer live in the province and was simply giving my parents a gift which would fix some issues with their older home. I am still actively perusing them. Be cautious.
