I called Mr Rooter to help fix the mess a quack plumber (Emergency Plumbing) had created. Emergency Plumbing's shoddy attempt to fix my kitchen drainage had been left me with a clogged kitchen sink, broken pipes, 2 gaping holes in my wall and leaks in my kitchen and basement. Mr Rooter came in, walked me through what their diagnosis was, how they were going to fix the problem, provided me with option and then fixed the clog and cleaned up the mess. I found them through and knowledgeable - although their rates seem a bit on the high side.

I called Emergency Plumbing in September to fix a clogged drainage in my kitchen. Dumitru the technician came in with a hand-drill sized "snake". Created two ugly holes in wall, broke some pipes and overcharged me. He left everwhere messy and I found out later (after calling the real professionals - Mr Rooter) that the holes were unnecessary and he only did that because he used a small snake. Dumitru tried to scam me out of another $350 by telling me the blockage was in the wall and that I had to run pipes outside the wall to "fix" the problem. BEWARE, EMERGENCY PLUMBING SHOULD NEVER BE CALLED TO FIX ANY OF YOUR PLUMBING PROBLEMS. Always call reputable companies no matter how expensive they may seem at first, you are always better off in the long run. This has cost me $420 extra - half of it is to fix the broken pipes and clean up the mess Dumitru made.

I'm very sorry you feel that way. As per my recent conversation with your husband you did say this posting would be removed.

There was some disagreement on the approach here that did go to the city inspector. The city inspection proved the approach taken was correct. I was advised by the inspector to not refund any money but despite this a full refund was given to compensate you for the troubles.
