Hired Two Small Men for a move from Winnipeg to Toronto at the end of July 2014. Delivery did not go well. Two movers showed up to deliver our belongings in Toronto, only one, Michael, did any work. The other stood around at the truck smoking while Michael unloaded and moved everything in. My husband had to help Michael unload and bring furniture into our home. We don't mind helping out and unloading some boxes, but we specifically hired movers so that we wouldn't have to personally move furniture into our home. If we had planned on doing that, we would have just rented a Uhaul and done the entire thing ourselves. When Michael and my husband took our very large couch off the truck to bring it into our home, we found that it wouldn't fit. Michael said that he would take the couch back to Winnipeg for us and deliver it to our family, which was very nice of him. Unfortunately, we haven't heard from or been able to get in touch with Michael since, so it seems as if he's taken our couch to live with him. In addition, on the day of our Winnipeg pick up, the movers were late because the dispatcher apparently couldn't find anyone to work. This was incredibly unprofessional, particularly since we booked our move well in advance and needed to make sure everything was moved out of our apartment before our lease was up and before we got on our flight to Toronto. What kind of operation doesn't have sufficient and reliable staff in order to fulfill confirmed reservations?! Some pieces of furniture were also damaged upon receipt. We have attempted to make a complaint with the company and haven't heard anything from them. Apparently a "claim has been started" -- not sure what this means, but it has been over a month since this alleged claim process began and we have yet to hear anything from them. We want reimbursement for the lazy mover's wages -- he didn't work for them, we did, so we should get paid for that -- and also for our missing couch and damaged furniture.

There seems to have been a misunderstanding regarding the sofa, but the sofa has been returned to the customers father in Winnipeg as planned. We did not charge to take the sofa back to Winnipeg as would normally been the procedure. We are looking into the other claims Jenna regarding the late pickup and the workers not doing their job.
