Quality, value and kindness. I purchased a marble bench that had a velvet cushion that was a poor match for the bench. I engaged Kathy to reupholster the velvet cushion with black leather and to create stitching across the length of the cushion. I attended at her store and she patiently walked me through the options, provided me samples to take home and test out with my home lighting. I choose a leather product and proceeded to drop off the cushion, expecting the job to be completed in a month or so. 9 days later, I got a text from Kathy that the cushion was ready. The results in the photos below speak for themselves. The quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail reflect the pride she takes in her work. The price point was extremely reasonable and Kathy was a delight to work with. I highly recommend her services!

I just moved into a large newly purchased home in South Cabbagetown. I hired A Clean Above to do a complete clean of my new home. They live up to their namesake, a clean above! First off, let me say they have an excellent website. The company is run by Colette and Amanda, a mother-daughter team. They are very friendly, professional and personable. They showed up on time, brought all the necessary equipment and cleaning materials. They pride themselves on using 100% eco friendly cleaning products (eco mist solutions). There are no harsh chemicals used. They worked efficiently and quietly and did an excellent job. I would strongly recommend them and will be using them again!

I hired "Your Friend with a Cube Van" to complete my move from a one bedroom plus den condo at Bay and College to a house in South Cabbagetown. I dealt with the owner, David. I could not have expected a better experience. When I first called David explained their services, the price, their insurance coverage- all the details one would need to make an informed decision. They had excellent reviews on Homestars and a very competitive estimate ($400-500 plus tax) so I decided to give them a shot. I was not disappointed. Th movers (including David), showed up 15 minutes early. The movers worked efficiently and tirelessly to complete the move as quickly as possible. They were very careful with my items, wrapping them in protective plastic wrap. On a couple of occasions they found items I had forgotten in drawers and rather than just dumped them into a random box, they asked me where I would like to put them. They also hustled. I've used many movers before and a lot them drag their butts and take breaks because they are charging by the hour, but these guys worked tirelessly to get the job done, without taking a single break. I should also mention that the movers were very friendly. The move was completed faster than I expected and nothing was damaged. The total price of the move came to $420 plus tax (on the low side of the estimate). I gave them a good tip because the value they provided exceeded the price. The attention to detail, efficiency and hard work of these guys was incredible. It was clear to me that David is an industrious entrepreneur that cares about his business and understands the importance of doing a good job since the industry is largely referral/reference based. I would use these guys again in a heart beat.

I just purchased a home and needed to have the locks re-keyed. I called on short notice and Yani was dispatched within an hour to assist. He was very knowledgeable and professional and completed the 3 lock re-keying quickly. All three keys work in the lock as smooth as butter. I would highly recommend Yani!
