After having found a surprise hole in our flat roof while demolishing an old deck, we were understandably panicked, especially given it was the start of what is forecasted to be an extremely rainy week. Perry was able to come in and provide a quote the very next day. And even with another quote we received, we thought he was the most up-front and reasonably priced. He was also able to fit us in the only day it was not raining this week and therefore probably prevented further deterioration. My husband and I are pleased with the work that was done. We were particularly impressed with Perry's professionalism, turnaround time and value for the money. I would definitely call him again if we ever need future roofing work.

First things first, he came for the consultation with a meeting organizer! This already meant to me that he is organized, which is more than I can say for some tradespeople I've had to work with. We set a date about 2-3 weeks from the consult date. On the day of, Shane was running a few minutes behind and actually called to let me know. For people who have had the experience of taking a half day or entire day off to wait for contractors, you know this type of thoughtfulness is golden! Shane came by and fixed the plaster wall in my son's room. He found out later that the work quoted was slightly bigger than originally thought but did not end up charging more. Work was left as clean as can be expected and done within reasonable time. As we live in a 100-year old house, I'm quite sure that we will have a chance to work with Shane again!

I have been fortunate enough to have had a chance to work with Bill 3 times. The first time I called Bill, it was based on the Homestars reviews. We were contemplating putting a bid on a house that supposedly has about 5% knob and tube wiring. We wanted to know how much something like this may cost us in the future. I was a bit apprehensive as the purpose of the call is to consult an expert and not necessarily to hire one so was expecting a rude or fast reply. I was pleasantly surprised that Bill answered the phone and took the time to explain the possibilities of what the inspection may mean and the possible costs. The second time, we were already in the house and had Bill come in to take a closer look for one of our visits prior to closing. He was at the appointment on time and took his time explaining to us what he discovered. He was also very patient in answering all our concerns. At this point, we have not yet hired or paid Bill for any work. Yet we have been treated with the utmost professionalism, organization and respect. All emails and phone calls were returned and answered on time. We finally had a small electric job and went to Bill and his team for their expertise, even though it wasn't knob and tube related. Steven came in on time, and did the work we asked with minimal disruption. In fact, while he was installing our light fixture, he noticed that the (newly unopened) box wasn't complete. So we had to drive to the store (which was 30 min away) to get the part. Steven left, and came back to finish installing the fixture, without an extra penny to the original price quote! Working with Bill and his team has been such a breeze. I wish that they did more than electrical work so I can just go with them for all our needs!
