We needed to replace several windows in our home. The salesman was personable and knowledgeable. The office staff were/are efficient and effective. But the installer stood us up TWICE to come for measurements, without calling. And having booked our installation appointment, he then stood us up a THIRD time, because he "couldn't find an assistant", and was going on vacation the next day. Right, so we had rebooked appointments to make ourselves available, taken down our curtains, and had our furniture/house in complete disarray to provide access to the work areas, but he couldn’t be bothered to find a helper? I hope that he had a good time in Cuba. There are no "fourth strikes". We called the company to complain. They selected a DIFFERENT contractor, but could not schedule the visit for a further nine days, weather permitting. Also, perhaps in response to my original review on this site, the company gave us a 2.5% rebate on our purchase.
New install date came, Beta team showed up, and spent two days installing our windows. They look great and operate smoothly. Hasn’t been long enough to comment on the quality, but the “taint” of the original contractor’s ineptitude will be with us for a long time. I realize that this rating is primarily influenced by one “bad apple”, but his actions were infuriating. So, revising my rating to a 6, and suggesting that if reliability and sticking to a schedule are important for your project planning, consider my experience.
