Main floor renovation - hardwood floor refinishing, kitchen renovation, bathroom renovation
Yes I would (and will) be using CGC again. The project was to get the kitchen, powder room and wet bar to something this century as the 1980's theme was wearing thin, and refresh the hardwood floor. The kitchen and powder room floors now have italian porcelain tile, prompting the comment from some guests that the powder room feels like a spa asit looks like marble. The hardwood floor in the rest of the mainfloor has been excellently refinished, with surprisingly little dust. The kitchen and wet bar backsplash have been retiled, adding small details I hadn't specified such as metal trim to the top of the backsplash. The people CGC brought on site to do the tiling and most of the work were excellent, refinishing a pantry door that was beech into a richer toffee colour to match the new cabinets. The work on all three areas started on the 10th July, and was completed 13th August. CGC's strengths were the quality of the work, and dealing with the unexpected things like uncovering that the bbq gas line a previous owner had put in place hadn't been permitted, and wasn't to code. What I would not do again is use Alberta Cabinet Manufacturers (ACM).
