We purchased a brand new Whirlpool refrigerator from Quan's Oshawa store in late June---and from the moment it was plugged in, the compressor emitted a VERY loud, annoying, high-pitched whining sound whenever it ran... We called Quan's TWICE voicing our concern---the calls were never returned. Finally, we went there personally & said that we'd pay for them to retrieve the fridge, & that we'd then make-up the difference for a more expensive upgrade from Quan's...after the salesman dodged our repeated questions as to why he never called us back from before, he said that we were, essentially, on our own, and that Quan's only SOLD the merchandise to consumers, they never accepted returns! Any issues had to be taken up with the manufacturer, under his warranty---Quan's was OUT of the picture (so much for their vaunted "...customer satisfaction"!). Wallly Quan never returned our call, either. The experience was nothing short of a nightmare: we will never, ever, grace the doorway of ANY Quan's outlet again, & we tell anyone & everyone whom we know as much, too. RUN, don't walk, away from Quan's Appliances---they may have low prices that are tempting, but then so was the fruit on the forbidden tree that the devil tempted Adam & Eve with...!!! STAY AWAY---the money you think you are saving is a pittance to the money you'll spend in small claims court, lawyer's letters, public servers, etc. etc. ...to say NOTHING of the grief they'll put you through.
