From the minute we walked in the door Shawn and his team members were fantastic to deal with and extremely helpful. The home we recently purchased was a DIY nightmare, where the homeowners appeared to have installed the floors themselves, and the poor quality of materials selected and the installation job itself showed. Shawn and his installers came in and did a fantastic job replacing all the flooring in our home. The tile work, engineered hardwood and carpets we replaced were installed by top notch installers, who took their time to do things right and had the forethought of thinking of potential future changes we may incorporate into the home. The casings and baseboards that were installed throughout the home also were meticulously done. We couldn't be happier with the quality of service and the work that Diverse Flooring did for us. They were by far our favourite trade to deal with and Shawn was always available to answer any questions we had regarding the project, as well as took the time to keep us up to date on with progress reports on how the project was progressing. We were in the market of shopping around to have our existing cedar shake roof converted over to asphalt shingles and have our gutters replaced on our recently purchased home. We came to homestars.com and contacted 3 well rated/ reviewed roofing companies to come and provide us with quotes. John at JMT was the only roofer who actually went up on the roof to investigate and told us about the problem areas that needed correcting and how he would fix the problems if he were selected. As for the other two companies, one didn’t even bother to come and see us, just provided us with a quote via email using a software imaging program. The second company came to see us, but didn’t go up on the roof and only talked to us about the products and warranties he offered and used the same software program to estimate cost on the job. Needless to say, we went with John without any hesitation. From the moment we met him, he put us at ease, and we felt we were in very good hands with his “straight shooter”, “calls it as he sees it” attitude. My phone calls were always returned promptly, and any questions we had, John took the time to explain things in detail so that we as homeowners could learn about what was involved and how this could potentially affect things in the process. There is no question about the experience and sheer pride John and his team shares in their work in order to get the job done right. We had the pleasure of working with Keith as our foreman, who was excellent in communicating with us about how the job was progressing etc. John was on site to ensure the quality of the install as well as checking in with us to see if we were happy and to follow up on whether we had additional questions. The crew were fantastic, they worked very hard, and at the end of each day they took pride in ensuring that the job site was always spotless when they wrapped up for the day. They were always a pleasure to interact with on a daily basis. The workmanship of the roof and the gutters installation was more than we could possibly hope for. We have no hesitation in recommending JMT to anyone in the market for roofing or gutter services.
