Company Response

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you Mr. Ellis for once again allowing Miranda Windows & Doors to replace your windows in your home.
As per our initial visit to your home on June 11, 2014, I had explained the 2 types of installation methods for your windows. It was recommended at that time that a brick to brick installation would be best, where we remove the existing wood frames and casing. Your new windows would come complete with exterior brickmould and new interior wood jamb and casing. At that time you did not want this type of installation and preferred to have the installation of your windows done retrofit as you did not want the interior woodwork removed. You were present along side me as I measured the 3 windows, and explained the process of the installation. You understood and agreed to the process. Please note that the windows were installed with the same installation procedure that we completed for you in March 2012.
On July 8, 2014 at 4:51 p.m. you sent an e-mail with your concerns. I responded on the same day at 4:54 p.m. On July 15, 2014 at approximately 11:30 a.m. I came to your home to address the issues. At that time you had agreed that the installation of the window should have been as I had recommended and that at that point you did not want anything further done.
As a business owner and installer myself, I can only recommend to my customers what is best for their homes, but at the end of it I have to respect my customers choices.
The windows were not measured too small, they were measured for a retrofit application. The window style changed from a picture window to a window with an operating sash which requires a wider frame.
Even though you have used us before and were quite satisfied with our products and services, I take this time to apologize that you were not satisfied this time.
We will continue to do our best to give our customers the highest quality of products and services.
We welcome all HomeStars viewers to check out our Facebook page to view this window installation under the album name Ellis Project.

Sincerely,
Tony Miranda
President
