I had quoted with a couple other companies and the prices were similar. What set Gary and Century Aluminum apart was the very PROMPT service. I called, got Gary on the phone. He came out the next day to quote. Later that evening, he sent me a detailed quote via email and said work could begin within a few days (it was not an emergency job). After I approved with Gary to go ahead, it was only 3 days before Shawn and Bob showed up and worked the whole day in the cold rain. They worked from 11am to 6pm and still had a bit more to do (it was to have been a one day job). The following day, Gary himself, came back and finished the work. I was VERY satisfied with the quality and professionalism. The guys put protective wood down to place their ladders on so my landscaping would be protected (as I had requested at the time of the quote); they went above and beyond and fixed another piece of loose flashing and attached a longer piece of downspout to another part of my house, neither of which they mentioned or charged for. As for payment, they didn't ask me to pay on the spot or sign anything. Gary arranged to come back a few days later so I could pay with cash and get a printed receipt (I don't have a chequing account.). Currently, they are not set up for VISA payments, but that was the only "bad" thing I could say. I wish all companies I dealt with were this professional and attentive to detail. Thank you! Vidya

The home inspectors at Pillar to Post are not the cheapest, but you are paying for a thorough inspection and some level of professionalism. Home inspection isn't currently regulated in Ontario, so it's a good idea to use a company affiliated with professional organizations.

I found Juff's Roofing and Mr. RoofRepair on this site and liked the reviews so decided to give them a shot. I had a leak in one spot on my roof and knew that many companies would try to get me to replace the whole roof. Arthur came out and fixed it the day after I placed the repair call. He took pics which he emailed to me, and he also explained the problem and how he fixed it. I few weeks later I got another leak in another area of my roof. I called MrRoofRepair again and Arthur came out once more. A couple days later, it rained and the roof still leaked. Arthur had repaired one area that I had mentioned but there was another source and so he came out and repaired it again, no questions asked and no extra charge. Believe it or not, it leaked again! You would think this is a bad review, but it's not. I actually asked Mike and Arthur to quote on a new roof, knowing the previous owner had not done a great roofing job. Arthur came back a third time, and found every possible nook and cranny and caulked everything he could see. Now, they could have charged me for subsequent visits - after all, a roof can leak in more than one location. They also could easily have told me I needed a new roof. They did neither. They fixed the problem. They didn't hassle me to charge me and they said aside from a couple of issues, my roof is just fine and doesn't need replacing. I really appreciate the level of service, professionalism and willingness to get it right. If I hadn't had the first experience where Arthur fixed it right the first time I might have been a bit wary with my other experience, but honestly.... Even though there was a bit of leaking a couple more times than I would have liked, these people took responsibility and warranteed their work. I will definitely use them again and have already referred them by word of mouth.
