We selected California Closets to build cabinetry around fireplace in our living room. Knowing that the company had a well-established reputation and having liked their selection of wood finishes, we thought they would be the right fit for our project. Little did we know that they have very poor project management skills or employee training or both. To tell our long story short, it took around four months from the time we had our first meeting with California Closets designer to the scheduld delivery date. We met up three weeks prior to delivery with our California Closets designer to pay our down payment and it was confirmed that our design was approved and everything is set to go. A day prior to delivery, we got an email first from the designer saying that they needed to talk to us about a problem with our design. After playing a phone tag for a while and not really understanding what was going on, we ended up getting a phone call from the president of a company in the evening. He apologized and let us know that their wood systems are not meant to hold the fireplaces. He mentioned something about the communication to their employees may not have been clear, etc, etc. Needless to say we were extremely disappointed that we waisted so much time and effort and were back to square one four months after we started working on our project. We will never work with California Closets again and hope that you will consider our story when making your contactors selection.

I made a mistake by hiring someone off kijiji without referrals and reviews. Denis was just a pain to deal with. We hired him to paint our unit, put a pendant up, six pot lights, tv mount and three shelves. He promised to finish the job in a week. He ended up stretching it to two weeks, leaving a mess of a paint job and unfinished pot lights job that he did not want to come back to as we apparently are "too far to get too". We ended up hiring contractors to finish the mess that he left and are extremely disappointed by his lack of professionalism. I have to give him a credit on the TV mount that he installed for us and had to drill through cement wall to get it up but will not recommend him to anyone I know because of all the other issues we had with him.

Scott has done an outstanding job wallpapering our accent walls and repainting the walls that were not well done by our former contractor. All in all, great service, fair quote and a great guy to work with. I already referred his services to our family and friends and wish him all the best!

Joseph came in to have a look at the available space and sketched the design of the closets right on the spot while talking with me and figuring out exactly what we were looking for. His installer William came in to do the job and was able to work around our elevator issues in the building. He completed our closets on time and we could not be happier with the final output.
