This is the second time that we had Valentin come to our house. Last week he came for an emergency. The pipe going into the dishwasher was leaking badly.Valentintime, polite, and did an amazing job. He installed a new shut-off valve so that we were still able to have water. At that time Valentin noticed that the main water valve was old and needed to be replaced. He came back yesterday and replaced the valve and replaced a tailpiece for the water heater. On both occasions Valentin was on time and very efficient. Je took the time to explain what the problem was, and how he was going to fix it. We are very pleased with the work that he did and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

We have nothing but good things to say about Steve Esber and his company Open Sesame. Our garage door was hit by a car and was damaged beyond repair. We called Steve (he had helped us out a few years ago), on the Thursday and he came to our house within a few hours with samples. He explained the different styles of doors, and answered our questions knowledgeably. On Friday, the old door was removed, and our new garage door was installed (it was one of the coldest days of the year). Steve did an amazing job. We were thrilled with his workmanship. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who requires service for their existing garage door, or a new one! As if this is not enough, Steve also has a great sense of humour.

We had to pack up our furnished, one bedroom basement apartment. We visited the Zoom Zoom storage facility on John Street. Rob was very professional and took his time to explain the different storage units that are available and the cost. He recommended that a 8x10x8 unit would meet our needs. We looked at the unit, as well as a larger one and smaller one. The facility is very secure and clean; I would even go so far as to say that it was spotless. The lock, 25,000 insurance, and tax is included in the price. We decided to rent the unit. It should be mentioned that there is a discount if you prepay - 5% for 6 months prepayment, and 10% for a year prepayment.

We have been going to Heavenly Flowers for many years. Lan has a true passion for his job and each arrangement he creates is truly a work of art. Today we went for wedding flowers. Lan offered many suggestions including back drops, table cloths, colour schemes, table arrangements, bouquets, and more. He is very familiar with many of the reception venues and knows what would look best in a particular room. He aims to please, and offers all this advice without being pushy. He spent over 90 minutes with us! This is the second wedding that Lan will have done for our family.

Old asphalt was removed, crushed stone was added, and driveway was graded. A few months later, asphalt was applied. The crew came on time, and worked hard. They were done in no time. We were very impressed with all aspects of their work.

We had Tony come to our house due to damage that was done by wildlife. Tony was on time, and very courteous. He did a thorough investigation and noticed many clues that we did not. Tony believed that a raccoon had become trapped in our garage, and after being unable to find a way to escape proceeded to chew its way through, and along the soffit until it finally fell through. Tony told us what to do to prove that it was gone, and offered to come back if it was not. He has a passion for his job. Gates offers inspections free of charge, unlike the competition.

Val called us within an hour after we left a message. He arranged to come the next morning. Val arrived on time and put on shoe covers before stepping foot into the house. We told Val that we were pretty sure that we had a leak in one of our bathrooms, but it wasn't an obvious leak. Val was very thorough before cutting into the ceiling of the main floor, which was soggy. I should mentioned that before cutting, he had covered his work area with drop covers, and had buckets ready. As soon as he sawed a small square, water came dripping out. Val was able to find a small pinhole in the water line. He was able to repair the line, and cut away the ceiling that was damaged. He was very friendly, courteous, and explained what he was doing every step of the way. It was quite obvious that he enjoyed his work. Val cleaned everything up before he left. His work carries a 1 year warranty. I would highly recommend him without a doubt. Thank you Val!

Paul was very professional and helpful. He and his crew did an excellent job reshingling our roof on the hottest day of the year. They sawed branches from the trees that we were unable to reach, and cleaned the eaves. Clean-up was thorough; not a speck was left behind. We are thrilled with our new roof!
