I found Peter's carpet cleaning service through a YP/Yelp search and sent an e-mail to get a quote. Peter Tam himself responded quickly and quoted me a great price for bedroom, living, and dining room carpet cleaning which was proportional to the effort required (instead of a blanket response). He arrived on time, was very professional and courteous, and took pride in his work, leaving our carpets cleaner than ever. He wore shoe-coverings and was completely able to work around the awkward position of our apartment unit, relative to the entrances.

Vancouver is synonymous with "rain" and, consequently, "leaky balconies"! There are many big players in the waterproofing and sheet metal business, but Villa is quite up there as one of the most recognized groups, but also one of the most reliable. When I called them, one of the Imani brothers answered (it's a family-run operation). He listened to my problem and was quick to ask probing questions to figure out the scope of work, which I was quoted right on target. They were very flexible with scheduling to work with my work schedule and we're courteous and fast at what they do! I had the grinding, flashing, base and top coats, and the sand all done in a day and they left poly tarp up to ensure that there was no damage to the job. All-in-all I thought they were professional, efficient, and honest people to deal with!

When my cousin in Calgary called and asked me if I knew an architect to design his new house, I immediately started digging through my business cards to find Mark's. He had previously done design work for two of my friends who did renos / additions, but I decided to ask if he'd be interested in a new build. He didn't waste time, asked for surveys, photos of houses and designs my cousin likes, and quoted his price. What both my cousin and I were surprised to find out was that Mark is a classically trained architect from Italy! He did his design work by hand and translated to AutoCAD after. The design was forwarded to the engineers and the city approved the design with minimal changes. Mark made perfect use of the "allowable" building area and the design worked beautifully! He also did site visits and ensured everything was in order! Highly recommended!

Our kitchen sink had major issues since we moved it - it was clogging with minimal effort and we tried all sorts of "Draino" solutions to no avail. We called Stargate and Valid came over promptly, investigated, explained what needed to be done and what was wrong, and fixed the problem! He was honest and diligent with his work - we have his business card on our fridge and will definitely be calling him again next time we have plumbing issues!

Our basement was flooded after a torrential downpour of rain and Bosso came immediately to our aid, pumping out the water, explaining the process, and drying our carpets and floor. Keyvan and Kamyar were both very professional and helpful!
