Taking Care of Business

I am so sad to write this, especially because everyone else has had such a wonderful experience with Road Runners, as did we a few years back. Just about everything that could go wrong with our move went wrong. -they showed up 30 minutes late, -they were visibly put off when I asked them to move a few additional items, -they dropped boxes more than once, -they asked us where everything went as it was being brought in (it was clearly labelled), -they didn't put boxes or other furniture items where they were labelled to go, -they did not reassemble (even though this is part of their mandate in the paperwork you sign) they damaged a few items, -they didn't lay the rubber mats in the new house until I asked them to, -they took way longer than expected, they didn't call when they couldn't get our lawn tractor started and onto the truck (so we were charged for this extra time), -they broke one of our TVs, etc. The TV that they broke was 55" LG. It was replaced with a *second hand* 46" TV that is missing a cable input and a stand. So...pretty much useless and insulting. Now, on top of reassembling and relocating, we have to find a wall mount and mount the TV if we ever want to use it. Oh, and not have cable. Unfortunately, I would never, ever recommend the Road Runners. Although Paul made an attempt to make amends, his efforts fell short of my expectations, especially when I was promised 55" TV. That was the kicker. This is especially upsetting because we had a flawless and beautiful move with Road Runners in 2014. I have recommended them to everyone I know and I'm a repeat customer. I have also left a glowing review for them in the past. I think I've been a 10/10 customer but I was treated with 0/10 courtesy. I was partially refunded some of the extra time we were charged for.

Using LA Floors has been the best reno decision we've made in 6 years. This is our 3rd home reno and our experience using LA Floors has easily been the best and most satisfactory. From the start, Liviu and his crew was reliable, honest, thoroughly knowledgable and professional. They installed hardwood on our main floor, replaced carpeted stairs with hardwood and installed laminate in the basement. The entire look flows seamlessly. I have gotten compliments on the floors every time someone new comes into our house. Our floors don't creak anymore, either. After having lots of experience with renos and contractors, I can't recommend these guys enough! I would use them again and again and again. They're the kind of company that makes sure prep work is done properly, like levelling our basement floors. Liviu helped me pick the right kind of hardwood for our needs and supplied Canadian wood manufactured in Canada. I really liked that every time I called or texted Liviu he would *always* pick up or respond (which is something I didn't find with other highly rated flooring companies) We felt confident about this project the whole way through! All in all we are happy with our entire experience with LA Floors!!

Awful. Can't tile properly. Shows up at a leisurely 11 am. Work is sloppy. NO attention to detail. Is NOT meticulous. Demands payment the second work is done so no time to inspect job. DOESN'T FINISH JOB!! David put up backsplash in my kitchen and it's just ugly. We're selling the house otherwise I wouldn't have ever used him for more work. He didn't properly finish the laminate floor installation in our basement. He installed floor tiles improperly in bathroom and NEVER RETURNED TO GROUT. The tiles have cracked where he laid them down. He says he's meticulous. HE'S TERRIBLE. BEWARE.

Love this company! First of all, *superior* product. I mean, amazing!! Seen a difference in energy bills! Competitively priced, well worth the money. James Stamboutzis came for consult and installation. He was super courteous and patient--he walked me through several design ideas (he's design-savvy) and I never felt rushed for a second. I really like that the sales rep was present at installation. Installers were great. I will use Dayside and James specifically again when we replace doors next year.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!! These guys were awesome! We had a great experience with the RoadRunners team. Everything about our move with them was positive--they were time efficient, the quote was reliable, they were so careful with all our stuff, and everyone on the team was super friendly. They all have manners their mothers would be proud of. Nothing was damaged, either. I couldn't believe it when I saw them wrap everything that wasn't in a box with those big, heavy moving blankets. So meticulous! I would use these guys again and again.
