Booking with Metropolitan movers is a big mistake. The movers essentially showed up almost three hours late then tried to do a shake down for more money about 15 minutes later. They were supposed to show up at 9am and instead showed up at 11:40am, with no real explanations from either the movers or the company. Repeated calls to the company during the wait time and throughout the day were never returned or followed up on, not once....you would think a company would care about problems the client was having, but these problems were seemingly normal and of no concern. Having finally arrived, the movers walked to the top of the house to bring a box downstairs, then stopped working and demanded more money because the house has stairs. Extra fees had been discussed and agreed upon while the booking was made, the house having stairs was made clear during the booking, and an extra fee for them was not mentioned nor was it on the confirmation email where the other extra fees were made clear. I would never use this company again nor recommend it to anyone I know.

Sorry to hear that about your move, but as per our guidelines, we ask 2-3 PHONE nos. of our customers so we can easily call them for any concern before and the day of the move. We even advise to keep their line open because we do call upon the dispatch so they know that our movers are already coming, that means it is impossible that our movers will be 3 hours late.
