We have had Scott for several years and have had deteriorating service since the company was merged (with a larger company) not too long ago. My last exchange will tell the story.... Recently our alarm started beeping and the trouble light came on at 7:30a a.m. (we have a fully monitored system). I called Scott's Service phone number when I explained the problem (alarm beeping and trouble light on). They said they could not help and I should call during regular business hours starting at 8:30. At 8:40 I called again and got the service department. I explained my problem (again), a man now said "sorry, can't help you, call back later to get a technician". I asked "when will that be?" He said after 9:00a.m. So I called at 9:30 and got a third different person who told me "sorry, the technician isn't in the office", so she took my number and would pass it on to the technician (there's only one???) would call me. She couldn't give me a time, I was just supposed to wait by the phone for a call. To make a long story short, it took several calls and much frustration even to get their attention. We have now identified a far better company who takes customer care and service seriously.
