I engaged Mike to conduct a home inspection for my 11-month new house for the Tarion 1-year new home warranty, primarily based on the positive feedbacks on HomeStars. He was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and responsive to questions. He went up on the roof and opened the attic to check the insulations. He provided the report on the same day and his inspection report was detailed and easy to understand. However, he only spent approximately 2 hours on the ~3200sqft house, which seems in a hurry, compared to the other inspectors (i.e. the builder's inspector spent over 4 hours and provided much detailed inspections than this one). Also he missed several items (water leaking from a door, very noisy fan in a bathroom), which I pointed out and he added to his report. I understand that the home inspection could not cover every single detail of the house, but I hoped that Mike could take his time and check the house more thoroughly.
