Called Apex (based on HomeStars reviews) for replacement of thermal glass on 3 windows. They first sent me a form to provide a few basic dimensions for the window, on which an initial estimate is provided. Excellent - this means no one wastes time in order to get a sense of what it will cost. When the initial quote came back, I asked them to move forward with someone coming by for proper measurement and final quote. Nick (owner) came out promptly. He was extremely professional, and confirmed the fair quote. I provided authorization to move forward and a reasonable deposit. Within 3 weeks, Tony and Jay came by to install. They were professional, had strong attention to detail, and simply cared about their work. All in all, I would definitely bring them back for any future glass/mirror needs.

I am extremely pleased with the job Steve and his team did in replacing our roof. He is a top-notch professional and a pleasure to deal with. After having three other roofers take a look at our leaking roof, I remained unsatisfied with their explanations of the situation, and the way in which they wanted to remedy the situation. It was at this point that I was given Steve Sweeney's number, with the comment that he's more than a roofer, he is in fact a "roofologist". What an accurate description! Steve immediately figured out the issue with our roof, and provided a very sensible plan to fix it. He was the first roofer to actually walk our entire attic, which helped us truly understand what needed to be done. He also keyed in on fixing the ventilation issues we had, which had resulted in premature wearing of our previous roof. When actually completing the work, Steve's entire team was professional, clean, and considerate of the neighbours. You could see the care and attention they put into their work, as if it was their home they were building the roof for. Some other interesting examples about working with Steve: - As Steve was going to do the work a couple of months later after we agreed on the quote, he temporarily patched our roof to limit any additional damage. - 6 months after the job was finished, I noticed an issue and emailed Steve. He called me back right away and asked if he could visit that day. Talk about post-job support! As it turns out, it was not an issue at all but actually a sign that the roof was no longer leaking. - Part way through the job, Steve realized that one of his recommendations was no longer necessary, and so he actually advised me to not do a certain portion of the work we previously agreed on. This significantly reduced the cost of the overall work, to his detriment. That is called honesty! I have already referred friends/colleagues to Steve, and I highly recommend him to anyone.
