Cowie’s Custom Granite: Our updated kitchen looks terrific, thanks to Paul Cowie and Jackson at Cowie’s Custom Granite. We shopped around carefully and visited the larger granite companies. Paul Cowie provided the warmest welcome, patiently answered our endless questions and then gave the most thoughtful advice and best price on not only the counter tops but sink and fittings. Everything went seamlessly – the granite and sinks were installed on time in a day and thanks to his careful measurements and craftsmanship in cutting they all fit perfectly. Choices for granite were excellent and we love the granite we selected. But what we both really enjoyed was seeing two young craftsmen at work, toiling to make our home shine as if it were their own. We are bragging to all of our friends about the service, careful installation and cheerful follow-up from Cowie’s Custom Granite. Three months after they finished we had to buy a new stove. It was 1/2 inch too wide for the granite slot that Paul had cut for the old one. We called him. Paul came back, cut 1/4 inch of granite from each side, polished the cut and did it all with no dust thanks to an effective vacuum system he set up. It took him more than two hours. We asked him how much we owed - $60! He did it as a follow-up favour in appreciation for our business. It is hard to find this pride in workmanship, quality and service these days.Paul Cowie has it. Taylor and Frank showed up early and accommodated a last minute change that we had to make in the appointment. We appreciated that. The were thorough in cleaning both supply and return ducts and the furnace. They explained why we needed a new air filter and ordered one to fit properly. They thoroughly cleaned the dryer vent which was terribly dirty. They cleaned up, explained what they had done and why and finished on time.
