This is a story that spans 6 years.
6 years ago, we bought a house that needed to be completely gutted which included having a new furnace and all new ductwork installed. We were new to house renovations but asked three contractors to provide quotes and went with the company that seemed reasonable. Air One got the job and everything started out fine and was progressing like we thought it should. Then I happen to notice a bulb from my cordless flashlight disappeared and the thing that made it obvious was that one of the contractors had the same flashlight as me. The guy didn't even put a busted bulb back in, he just left it empty. Yes I know it was just a bulb but the point was there were guys in my house taking my property. I confronted them but they of course denied so I let it slide. As the job progressed, they became more difficult to work with. So much so, that I had to withhold final payment in order to get them to come back and finish the job properly. They reluctantly came back but not without threatening to put a lien on our house.
Now, 6 years later, I'm looking into getting our AC unit replaced because it isn't cooling the house properly and never really has. As it turns out, Air One didn't do a proper job with the plenum making our current configuration completely inefficient for both heating and AC so now if we want to replace our AC, we have to have the plenum completely rebuilt. I have yet to receive a quote on that but it's not going to be cheap. As it turns out, the job they did shouldn't have passed inspection which is another issue all together.
So, to summarize, they "Borrowed" my property, threatened me, and didn't do a proper job which will now cost me more money.
