Lynn Kirouac from Burlington

We are seniors who were looking to have a new (or moved) outlet in our living room. It needed to be in the floor to provide light at the end of the sofa for me to read and knit by, without an extension cord running across the floor as a trip hazard. I contacted Stack Electric who quoted me $500 and we just can't afford that on our fixed income. Kennedy Electric quoted me $280, were very pleasing to deal with, and were in and out in about 1.5 hours. They are family people, located in Burlington, they do a good job at a fair price. I highly recommend them - you will not be disappointed. I got exactly the brand new outlet I needed at a price I could afford.

We had Lorion Electric change out our 6 halogen pot lights to LEDs. Josh was great! In addition he installed a new outlet behind our microwave shelf, installed a ceiling fan that we couldn't reach, and reapaired the outlet for our stove. Everything works great now, and I am asking them to return to install a new pot light above my kitchen sink. I must caution you that they must be very busy because it can be difficult to get an appointment - however worth the wait.

After meeting with several other companies we met with Mike from Convertible. Although our 1.5 ton AC was still working it was 13 years old, inefficient and expensive to run. Mike recommended a 2 ton unit wit a 13-14 SEER rating. We had quotes from others that ranged up to $4500 more because everyone said they needed to change our 40 ft line set. This would require tearing out a drywall ceiling and part of our deck and then we would need to hire a contractor to repair it later. Convertible confirmed that since there was nothing wrong with the line it could be properly suctioned clean and reused. As seniors on a fixed income this was good news indeed. Dieter did the installation the next week, and when there was a problem that was the result of a manufacturer deficiency he quickly returned to make it right. He was great to work with. The only reason I am not giving a 10 is that I wish we were upsold a bit for a quieter model. Not that it is overly noisy but we live in a townhouse where everyone's AC unit is audible to neighbours and the unit is right beside our deck

John created and installed cedar screening for our front porch to hide the ugly furnace vent pipes and dryer vent. He added a door to gain access to the area if required and bonus, I can store garden tools there. After he installed it he painted it a colour to match our garage door and front door. John is very creative and detail oriented. This is the second job he has done for us in Burlington and previously he did a lot of work in our Streetsville home so we could sell it. He is not cheap, but, you get what you pay for.

I have used Rockstella twice. Once for my previous home in Streetsville to get it ready for sale. The quartz counter tops were certainly a selling feature! When I bought a new home in Burlington it was Rockstella I turned to again for my kitchen and powder room. I didn't bother with quotes from other companies as I was already happy with Rockstella's service and installation. The result is beautiful Caesarstone quartz counters installed within about 2 weeks from ordering that have made our kitchen magazine ready!! I highly recommend Rockstella...you won't be disappointed!

This is the second home Jim has done for me. His work was a selling feature of my first home. I was so satisfied I asked him to help me again with my new home after I moved. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets were beautifully refaced, including crown molding that proved to be tricky due to unlevel cabinets. His attention to tiny details is excellent. Jim does NOT use veneer, which is a not so permanent solution. I got another quote from a Burlington company that was $4000 more and included a gallon of paint for me to do the crown and edges myself! They also doubted they could do my pantry door. Jim figured out a great solution to what could have been a problem for the other company. Save your time shopping around. I would recommend Jim to anyone in a heartbeat!!

Andrew and Eugene did a great job upgrading our old fuse box to a 100 amp panel and installing 5 pot lights. They even labeled all the breakers on the panel for us. In addition they were punctual and friendly guys. We had an unexpected problem with Enersource who stated they would not turn our hydro back on unless the existing delivery pipes were repaired to their satisfaction. The guys got this additional work done and we got Enersource's blessing. I also love the fact that they totally tired out our new puppy who loved the attention he got from them.
