The streets/sidewalks in my neighbourhood are being redone, and Cap City is involved with the resodding. I had a couple of questions and the workers/supervisor were very considerate. Just want to give a shout-out to thank them. The work they are doing looks great!
Can't remember the cost, but it was reasonable. The workers were quick, efficient, and very honest (someone found an old credit card that had fallen behind my steps and passed it to me). They were as careful as they could be with any plants that could be removed then returned after the work. I had a juniper that would not survive being dug out, and that was explained. Only issue I had was that the glass in a door was cracked during service. An offer to replace it was given without hassle, so it was not a big issue to me. Also had to insist that the window wells be actually attached to the house, not simply held in place by gravel. Overall, I would recommend them.
They replaced the roof, windows, doors and siding as part of one contract. During installation of the siding, my dad had to point out to the crew that they needed to make a new chalk line because they were not applying the siding straight. They came back once a year later to fix a portion of the siding that was coming off, and it subsequently came off again. (Siding should hold for years and years). When I contacted them again, they did not respond. My doorbell wires were severed at the time the doors were being replaced. The exterior furnace vent was damaged, and according to the furnace inspector it was from something falling from quite a height. This happened at the time the roof was being done. The only ones who did a good job through this contractor were the shinglers. Even after having checked references, and doing all of the things one should do when considering a company, I ended up with these issues. Definitely wouldn't hire ANCO again.
