We wanted to renovate our house’s main floor and obtained Peter’s contact name from a colleague who used him for her house renovation. Work description: Dimensions: ~1500 sq/f Remove all flooring (old hardwood, parquet, carpets and tiles) Install new flooring throughout (Hardwood and tiles) Remove existing kitchen Rework and install new electrical throughout new trimming (baseboards, crown moulding, window moulding) New LED pod lights New electrical panel Install new appliances Remove existing wall (install beam) New water pipes New ceiling (remove popcorn) New staircase Paint throughout Appliances installation And many more items As you can see not a small job. At first I was skeptical about his work as I wasn't able to find his name or company on homestars.com but decided to have him over for a quote. Peter spent a good amount of time during his initial visit with us explaining what he would do, giving suggestions and talking about the materials he uses. Overall, very trustworthy and qualified to do the job. After getting about 5 quotes from other reputable sources, we decided to go with Peter. Not only was his price reasonable but he seemed the most trusting and honest of the contractors we spoke with. You know when you have a “good feeling” about someone. The job lasted about 8 weeks. Peter was everyday in the house from 7am to evening time. He would be the first one to arrive and the last one to leave. Even though Peter uses other contractors for certain trades, because of his experience and qualifications, he did most of the work (80-90%) His quality of work and materials are excellent. All the work was completed on scheduled. He communicated extremely well with us; always explained what he did and what needed to be done. Note that because of Peter's work excellence, all of his references come from word of mouth (until now) If you're looking for quality work, and honest contractor and reasonable price, I highly recommend contacting Peter. My house underwent a major renovation including the kitchen. I was looking for a rare cesar stone that was in back order all around Toronto, including Cesar Stone Headquarters. I happen to drive by MaxSpace and decided to check it out. I enquired and bang, they had the stone! Not one, but four slabs. Although I was hesitant about their work since they do not have a lot of reviews in homestars, I decided to give them a try. They came, measure correctly, fabricated fast and installed on time. After getting many quotes and meeting with different roofing people, I decided to go with Stronghold for their honesty, price and good vibe. William explained the entire process of the shingle replacement along with options. He took the time to explain in detail the work him and his team would do. The day of the work, him and his team arrived early and got to work. The team works extremely well and fast. They arrived at 8 and were finished by 5. Once they were done, they cleaned all around the house and reviewed the work with me. Overall, I am very pleased with the work and would highly recommend them to anybody looking to get roof work done.

I had Ron from Walter Townshend & Sons Inc come to fix a chimney issue I had in my basement, smoke coming from the upstairs fireplace. Ron took the time to explain to me what the issue was, options and suggestions. When Ron was done his work, we went over what he had done again and he made sure I understood and was comfortable with the job. As promised by Ron, I don't have smoke in the basement anymore and can finally enjoy hot fires upstairs. I would highly recommend this company to anybody looking for any chimney work. Thanks!

I found Dave via Homestars.com and scheduled an appointment for him to clean my both chimneys/fireplaces. This is a new house with two chimneys. I didn't know their condition, nor had I ever owned a placed with wood fireplaces. Dave was very accommodating with dates/times and knowledgable. Dave not only did a very good job at cleaning the chimneys but took the time to inspect them both, explain how to use them best and examine the wood I had available. Overall I'm very pleased with the service and will definitely recommend him to anybody looking for a sweepin job!
