We contacted several companies on our backyard and DCD was the only company that worked within the budget we had and made our backyard the perfect play space for our little guy! We had to book months in advance (which you always have to with a good company) and the communication was good the entire way to completion. Everyone was amazing to deal with, explained everything that was happening, and made us feel so comfortable and confident in our decision. We needed our yard regraded, new steps, stonework and new sod. Everything fully done (including adding a third step) in 2 days and in 40+ degree heat on top of that. The team was just fantastic and will not be disappointed using DCD for your landscaping needs. They are our absolute go to when we extend our driveway, upgrade our entrance and complete our entire front yard. We will not look anywhere else.

Sunday night our tub faucet broke and we were unable to turn off the water. After shutting the water down to the house we called a few places to see about getting a plumber to take care of it (it was around 9pm). We spoke with Caldwell and one of their service guys (forgot his name) called me back around 10pm. I explained the problem to him and he pretty much diagnosed the problem over the phone and explained the cost. Knowing we shut the water off to the house he explained that everything will be fine until the morning if we wanted to wait because labour prices are more overnight (makes sense). Great advice, so we waiting until morning to call back. Spoke to them around 8:30am the next morning and Andrew showed up shortly before 1pm (the appointment was booked between 2 - 5pm). Andrew diagnosed the problem right away, got to work, and had things done inside an hour. We discussed other items in the house we needed taken care of and he explained why such issues would arise and was nothing but honest and professional the entire time. We will definitely be getting Caldwell back into our home to take care of our plumbing needs. You can definitely feel confident calling them and the price is good :)

Made an appointment to get my Samsung Fridge looked at due to ice and water buildup under the crispers. Explained the issue over the phone and included the serial number of the appliance. Made the appointment on the phone and got a confirmation call the day before (that's what the star is for). Showed up during the time frame of appointment (other star) and that was about it. In and out in 10 minutes, didn't look in the fridge, explained what could be done, cost $530 to fix it. No guarantee, no warranty and only 40% chance to fix the actual problem. Mentioned the model was defective. Passed on that offer and will be getting a new fridge. Biggest issue is that this could all have been relayed over the phone without an actual visit. Paying $100+tax for someone to be in my home for 10 minutes and providing details that he didn't need to be in person for just doesn't sit right with me. Might want to look elsewhere for appliance needs or try to ask questions over the phone to avoid a visit.

Was looking to upgrade my system to wireless because we didn't want to keep our home phone. SafeTech was awesome. Sharon scheduled us an appointment the next week and when the technician arrived, early I may add, he noticed that we needed a wireless adapter. Sharon got in touch with me and we scheduled a new appointment for the next day. Tech arrived right on time and got to work. Explained everything and within an hour was done, fully checked the system to ensure everything was functioning perfectly before leaving. Couldn't be happier with the service and although a free month is given for reach review of Safetech I would have reviewed them the same without the benefit of the free month. They are a great company to work with, I have no complaints whatsoever.

Called 416-SO-CLEAN in late October to get some carpet cleaning done in 3 bedrooms. With the newest addition to our family on the way we wanted to make sure the carpets were as clean as possible. From my first point of contact they were very pleasant to deal with. I scouted their website to see what they had to offer first and explained what I needed. They were very happy to help and quoted me the exact price I paid. I booked for 8am on November 1st. They arrived a little late, 15 minutes, but called ahead to let me know traffic wasn't good. It's 8am on a weekday, traffic is never good so I wasn't too worried. They two guys that showed up were nothing but completely professional. They explained everything they were going to do and how long it would take. Less than an hour later they were completely done. Explained what I should do and how long I should wait before walking on them and that was it! They also cleaned up a little stain I had in another room that wasn't part of the agreement but they were happy to do it. I really think they did a great job and would highly recommend, not just because I would get a $50 referral. I would use them again for sure!

I had carpenter bees coming into the framework of the sliding door out the backyard. I called Pesticon to see what they could do for me and we scheduled an appointment for the next day, Sunday, between 11am - 12pm. Manish Patel showed up closer to 10:30am which was great! I showed him the picture above and what I had seen and he was quick to agree that it was definitely carpenter bees. Manish went right to work on getting rid of the problem and making sure they don't come back. On top of that there was a 6 month guarantee on their work which is helpful. I will update as the summer goes along to let anyone reading this review know if there has been a return or anything else that has happened. The only aspect that I was not completely satisfied with was the slight pressure on writing a review. I always do with work that has been done to my home as I think HomeStars is a great resource and I always appreciate when people are honest on here. Not only did I receive a text message with the link, which did help, but also received a follow-up phone call later that evening to once again remind me to write a review. I don't overly think all of that is necessary. Outside of that, I think the work was quickly and professionally done and would recommend. OCT.26 UPDATE Used them again to get rid of some wasps that wanted to make a home at the front of the house. They were great, came the next day and took care of everything. Showed me how large the problem was and told me that if I see any of them around after a few days to contact them right away. It was great! I will continue to use them but hopefully I won't have too.

Called Barry to get a couple windows above our door insert. He came within a few days to take a look at the door, measure and take a picture. His design was done quite quickly which he sent us to proof before getting it done. His quote and timeline were exactly right and we were thrilled. Installation was done in under an hour with zero mess left behind. We couldn't be happier with the way it turned out! So happy we decided to go with What A Pane, we'll definitely be a repeat customer.

We put a SafeTech system into our new home and our positive experience started there. They were very honest and upfront with all the information and prices we can expect. The installation was great and very professional. We have had the system for a little over a year and they have been amazing. We have had zero issues. SafeTech is completely worth it, no question about it. You will not be disappointed.

I called Craig looking to get my new appliances installed into a newly moved in home. Craig was phenomenal! We made an appointment within a week and he showed up fully prepared and professional. Got straight to work and installed all of my major appliances in no time flat, including a quick trip to Home Depot to pick up a couple things. If you live in the Durham Region do not waste your time with anyone else. Craig was fantastic from start to finish with the time and price both being amazing. We couldn't be happier! We will definitely be using Craig again for our gas BBQ and garage door opener. Update from my last review. Called again to get some other appliances hooked up but unfortunately the message I got was to call another individual. I did and got no response or call back from that phone. Not sure this business is still actually operational. Might need to look elsewhere.

I moved on Friday from Mississauga to Ajax and Francis Movers were amazing! We had to cancel last minute last week due to some complications with our closing. Francis was so accommodating and understanding we were shocked. We called to re-schedule once again for the new closing date and they were so helpful right from the start. On the day of the move the team (3 guys) ended up showing up early as I had the possibility of getting our elevator before the booking time. They showed up at the perfect time and were polite and professional. Mike, Mike and Jay took no time at all getting all of our stuff from our 2 bedroom condo and storage locker. They did not stop until the truck was fully loaded. On top of that they beat us to Ajax! When we arrived at our new home they were fired up and ready to go! Once the door was open they put down mats to not step on the new flooring and asked where we would like every piece of furniture or box that came into our home. We asked for them to grab some boxes from the cars we had with us and they politely agreed and cleared them out in no time. Start to finish, these guys were a shade under 6 hours and they did not stop the entire time, simply impressive! I could not have asked for anything more in a moving team! They were the best moving experience I have ever had and would recommend them to anyone out there. You will not find better in the GTA.

They were fantastic. I booked them to come in the next day to install an over the range microwave. Showed up on time and completed the entire process in under 40 minutes. I was extremely impressed with the work ethic and professionalism. Would highly recommend!
