As a real estate investor doing gut and renos projects always come with their set of challenges. Mario is a veteran and a team player. He took the time to understand the high level plan, the detail for each room, plumbing, electrial, finishes, and overall vision I was going for. My last project with him, a single family home conversion into quadplex had it's fair amount of issues. But Mario took each issue and handled it with focus and clear communication every step of the way. He always kept in mind my vision and never diluted what I was trying to create, I couldn't be more pleased with the final outcome. One thing that sets Mario apart from most general contractors that I have worked with is his communication style. We had daily conversations with status updates on items completed, any issues that came up, items scheduled for next day, and overall tracking on the schedule. Having someone on site day in and day out, and working with the trades on all details and providing updates was critical to keeping the project on track. Mario is also a highly experienced, electrician, framer, plumber, and finisher. This helped save me time and some money as he worked on much of this himself and didn't have to bring in more expensive trades. I especially appreciate that he does not cheap out on the little stuff or cut corners, if there is an issue on the site, he always gave me the honest truth accompanied with a solution. He did his best to stay within my budget and worked with me on options whenever needed. I called Paul to give me a quote on a water pipe upgrade to bring my 1/2 pipe to a 3/4 inch. After doing a lot of interviews I found Paul to be the most informative, professional and competitively priced person for the job. I went with the Solex Group because I wanted a professional who was certified to do home inspections and could break it down to me in laymen terms. My home inspector Vahn did just that! He took time to explain all the issues in great detail, along with recommended solutions for each. The report itself is incredibly detailed and is being used by my contractors to repair the house. What I liked the most is that although the property had some significant repairs needed, Vahn stayed objective and provided a clear path forward. Great Work!
