do not do business with this group. they 'restructured' in the fall and told us that the new company [operating under the same name with the same web site and product line] is not bound to honour $10K+ deposit! we're left in a position as an 'unsecured creditor' and told we have to sue!

What was not mentioned by the individual above is that because of the "made to order" nature of Summerwood Products, cancellation of orders once the process has begun is not permitted. Summerwood has delivered beautiful buildings to more then 10,000 happy customers going back twenty years, as evidenced by the over 1,000 photos on their web site. Unhappy customers do not proudly submit photos of the finished product.
