BEFORE you even consider Multicity Moving - please read my story. I would classify this entire experience as being the absolute worst customer service fiasco I have EVER encountered. If there was an opportunity to grade this company as a -10, it would not even describe it. We are in the process of relocating from Alberta to Ontario. We decided to do a preliminary partial move as I went ahead of my husband to Ontario. We shopped the web and Multicity was reasonably priced, and the "General Manager", Brock was very pleasant and helpful. We paid our deposit and agreed to work with Brock. HOWEVER, once the deposit was paid, Brock was highly unapproachable and very unresponsive. We were due a pick up of good on Aug 10 - given a vague time of perhaps 2pm....and finally the truck showed up at 9:30pm that night. The drivers were disgruntled and complained about a delay at a house before. My husband ended up helping them load the truck. The items were then shipped to a warehouse in Edmonton and then grouped together with other orders - then shipped to a warehouse in Mississauga, where it was then loaded on a truck and sent to my house. Delivery was made on the date in Guelph as promised - however, no confirmation of time is given to you so you have no idea when they are going to show up. The delivery team was actually very good...the 3 gentlemen were very courteous and pleasant - they should be commended. There was considerable damage done to our goods. Our mattress (new) had a huge black dirty mark on the side. A teak chair (irreplaceable - about 60 years old) had it's backrest snapped. My grandmothers Wedgewood china (a wedding gift to me) was in a box clearly marked "extremely fragile" and contained a 8 set, 5 piece dinner set and it was CRUSHED. like not dropped...but literally as though a heavy piece of equipment was dropped the box - the sides were popped open. Only 3 plates survived and 5 tea cups. We had another box with beautiful ceramic platters that were shattered as well. I filled out my claims and submitted within the 10 day time period and have not heard a word from them as of today's date. Naturally, Brock did not respond to my husband's calls regarding the claim. We spoke with a customer service representative who told us that we were one of 42 families having items shipped out of Edmonton that filed claims. 42 families!!!!! Needless to say, I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and we have hired a much more expensive and professional company to complete our move. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Approximate cost of services:
$2,200.00
