We hired Walker Roofing to redo our shingles based both on the reviews from homestars and that it seemed everyone in our neighbourhood was using them as well. Yes it wasn't cheap, but from start to finish their service and attention to detail were outstanding. Here are the highlights - They proactively communicated arrival times and work durations - They took great care to ensure site safety and that no nails were left behind - Every person we dealt with was professional and courteous - They replaced not only the shingles, but 2 skylights, created new venting to solve a humidity problem in the attic, and discovered part of the original roof was floating and nailed everything down securely. - When the work was done, Peter Walker himself came to walk me through the work that had been done and to answer any questions I had About 9 months later after a lot of snow and ice we noticed a leak coming through the ceiling. Walker Roofing returned our call immediately and came out right away to get up on the roof and clear off any unmelted snow/ice around the suspected source, and then Peter Walker called and came over to personally inspect the work. We agreed on a taller vent based on the angle of the roof and the higher likelihood of snow accumulation in this particular area (a unique issue of the design of our house) HERE IS THE BEST PART: Between discussing the new vent and the installation of the new vent we had another big snowstorm and Walker Roofing proactively (without waiting for us to let them know) sent their people to the house to clear off our roof in this area to prevent any further problems. This to me is the reason you hire a company like Walker. They aren't cheap, but their attention to detail is excellent and their response to issues is fast, professional and above average. We chose FG Fencing on recommendation of friends who had installed a cedar fence. Our project was very large and involved many different materials, iron fencing with a a double gate and single gate, cedar fencing with a matching iron lattice and chainlink fencing. We were very happy with the final product, John and Nicole were a pleasure to deal with and scheduled the job quickly for us. I originally had concerns with the first estimator I dealt with, I was looking for insight and direction but didn't get what I needed out of the conversation. However, upon raising my concerns John came to the house personally and patiently helped me with the final design questions, his insights were very helpful. I found John to be very professional and the website is a great way to track your project.

We hired The Tree Specialists on recommendation of a family member - and they did a fantastic job. They were hired primarily to remove a huge dying willow tree from the property, along with the pruning of 5 large maple trees. David was professional and prompt in responding to my request for a quote and his team handled not only the tree removal but the permitting process from start to finish. We were given plenty of notice of the date for the work on our property as well as a reminder call and the team who arrived to do the work were equally professional, courteous and thorough, I would hire them again in a heartbeat for any future work.
