I have a Barcol installed garage door in my brand new house and during the first winter, garage door came out of the railings due to poor install/ material and got stuck midway through; trapping my cars inside the garage and I had to get to work early morning next day. Garage door is under warranty and when contacted their emergency number, they refuse to come out to fix it without agreeing to paying their technician. This is outrageous since they offer 24 hours service only if you pay for it even if it is covered under their warranty. Very poor service specially since they should have done it right the first time around. They fixed it very late next day after many phone calls, which is not a timely response at all when it is critical and had to take a day off work because of it. Upon fixing it manager threatened that he is cancelling the warranty because we simply tried to close the garage door so someone does not take my valuable tools and equipment in the garage overnight. Again, if they sent someone out same night we would not have to touch it at all. They failed to recognize urgency and very disrespectful to customer.

I bought a spec home from sterling homes year and a half ago. They have cheaped out on doing proper TV/internet wiring by only putting cover face plates without the sockets which is a significant extra cost to get another contractor in to re-wire these cables and they should have completed it in the first place instead of trying to put the cable providers on the hook for finishing their original home build. My brother bought a new home from another builder around the same price range as my home and he has received those network and TV cable sockets and better yet dual sockets and a entertainment system management center in the basement to keep the whole house connected at the source. I wish Sterling homes did the same instead of cheaping out on it to stay competitive with the other builders.

My home builder had installed an electric stove outlet by stove space and I decided to go with a gas stove and required a normal outlet instead. My home was wired by Coronet and I contacted them to install it because I didn't know if another company would do a proper job. Installation was fine, but the cost was ambiguous and there was no break down of charges. I searched roughly online and it seem like the right cost for the job and therefore I paid it. It would have been better to know a break down of charges.
