He came exactly when he said he would. He is extremely knowledgeable (e.g., knowing which house traps are in which parts of Toronto due to when they were built). He explains everything. And when he was wrong about his initial guess (that he would need to plunge the house trap) there was no hedging or blustering--just oops that's not it, I'll have to snake it. He was here just over an hour and he charged me the MINIMUM service/visit charge! Except for the sewer smell while he was snaking (can't be helped!) the whole experience was remarkably pleasant. Nice guy (one man operation). Great price!

Every time we need electrical work of any kind, we call Victor. He's always prompt, does good work, and is pleasant to deal with. We've had him 4 or 5 times over the last 4 years. We never call anyone else! (Note: the cost above is for the latest job, but we've also used his services for much larger jobs as well.)

Our old stove was hard-wired into our house, so when the new stove arrived, we had to have an electrician disconnect it and install a regular stove outlet. He did a great job, helped me move the old stove out and new one in, and fixed another small thing while he was here. He came the same day I called. Great guy, great work, reasonable price.

We had all the knob and tube wiring replaced in our 1920s home. Victor and his helper were great! I liked that they charged by the hour, which meant that I could decide exactly what I wanted done. While they were here anyway I had them add many extra electrical outlets--something that would not have been included in other contractors' estimates. He could give me a rough estimate of how long the additional task might take, and then I could decide whether I wanted to have him do it--the flexibility was very nice. I got lots of sensible stuff done while he was here, for far less than it would have cost to have another electrician come back later to do them. Victor is DELIGHTFUL--polite, considerate, pleasant--which made it much easier to have workmen in the house for several days than it would have been with most companies. They were PROMPT AND EFFICIENT, working long days, barely taking time for a quick lunch. They came when promised and kept working until the job was done. I have recommended them to friends and have had them back several times for small jobs. HIGHLY recommended!!! --Becky in East York

Working with Celio Group on my garage improvement was a pleasure. I got 4 estimates (3 from Homestars-rated folks) and Celio came in lowest of the Homestars rated folks, and very close to the non-rated contractor, so I went with the known quantity. Roberto Celio stayed in touch while I was waiting for my building permit, and started construction within days of my getting it. The carpenters worked steadily until it was done. Roberto Celio came to the job site once or twice a day, and when the carpenter did something I found unacceptable (putting untreated lumber flat on concrete where it was likely to get wet) he had the carpenter tear it out and replace it with treated lumber. So the only complaint I had with the whole process, he fixed, completely, and without me having to fight about it. He really is committed to keeping his customers satisfied. When plans needed to be changed in minor ways, he explained the reasoning beforehand and got my OK before proceeding. They always left the job site clean, and even hauled off a little of my junk along with their construction waste, for no extra charge. Finally, Roberto (and his brother, who I had less contact with) are both pleasant guys to work with. Truly, I could not have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended.

Oscar offered a free estimate (nobody offers that!) so I got a no-risk quote on the repair. Two capacitors had burst so he had to clean the board as well as replacing 6 capacitors. Whole thing cost $125 (VERY reasonable and far cheaper than replacing the unit) and he did it the same day! Not only that, I had mentioned I really wanted to record the Obama inauguration the next day, and when I called later to say I couldn't get there to pick it up before closing, he said he would be working late and I could pick it up later that evening. Fast, competent, reasonable, and incredibly nice--what more could you ask for? Oh yeah--a 6 month warranty on labor and a year warranty on parts. And he shrink wrapped it so it wouldn't get wet in the snow on the way home. Highly recommended!
