I've changed all the windows of my home through Canadian Choice Windows. They are very professional. The sales man I dealt with (George) is a great person. Sharp, cooperative, understanding and very professional. I'd definitely recommend them to all my friends.

Dealing with Metropolitan movers was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I was moving my furniture from a house in Burlington to another house in Oakville, just 10 Km apart. Over the phone I described the furniture to be moved in details and I was told that this is a job which requires 3-4 hours if I use 3 movers which costs 124$/h +HST + a flat rate of 100$ + HST for the truck. Based on this I hired them. To save time and money I did dissemble the furniture myself. On the agreed days the crew arrived almost on time however they were 3 young boys. I was surprised of their young age. They started the work slowly after having a 15 minutes tour in the house. Being too young and inexperienced they could not fit the furniture in one load and had to make a second load. They have damaged some stuff. They could not move some furniture to the basement of the new house which I did with my wife later. They did not have any tools for dissembling some of the furniture. They took breaks for a total of 2 hours. Finally, the move required 11hours and 40 minutes with a bill of 1794 CAD!!!! I was shocked because I moved the same furniture before and the cost was 700$ only. I called their coordinator called Nicole who told me that she will put a remark and I need to call the customer service the next day which I did. They asked me to send them an email with the details which I did. They responded after 2 weeks saying that they will do nothing about it and they ecnoureged me to call the coordinator Nicole again. I tried but she picked up the phone once, told me she is busy and will call back which she never did. Moreover she stopped picking up the phone. I'm trying to go after them legally but truly this is one of the worst experiences I've had in my life.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Be honest or get out of business.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Hire a company which was used by someone they know and provides a flat rate.

But first, we don't have young movers.Our movers are in this business for 6-8 years now and they are all professional movers. This may be done by another moving company. If this was our situation, we could have resolved this issue the day after the move.
