Working with Peter from Outstanding Roofing was very easy. We appreciated his constant and open communication, and his flexibility. From the first time we met him when he came on site to check the roof for an estimate, he was willing to explain all the details, but also address any questions we had. We found it interesting that many roofers won't actually come on site to check the roof for an estimate. As educated customers we had many questions, which he never had a problem answering. The great part about his flexibility, was though he had a couple of main manufacturers he uses for roof shingles, if there was a particular product you wanted as a customer, he would look into getting that for you. He also did not push the cheapest product or the most expensive. He was honest in advising what aspects of the roof job were mandatory vs what work wasn't completely needed, however left it to us to decide in the end. Peter also did not have any issues ensuring we had certain details added within the quote prior to agreeing to the contract. On the day of the job, the team arrived on time first thing in the morning. Something we liked very much was that his team picked up the shingles that morning before the job, and brought it straight to the house, rather than dropping them off a week or two prior to the job starting and having them just sitting at the house. They worked through the day to complete the roof job. They removed all the old shingles, tar paper, inspected the roof deck, and then installed breathable vapour barrier and the new Owens Corning Duration shingles we selected. We scheduled them back in a few days later to install the new flashing. Peter was a pleasure to work with, his team did a great job, and on top of all that, the price was very reasonable. We have already recommended them to others, and will do so in the future.

Outstanding roofing

We recently had our windows (22) and front entry door replaced by Advance Windows (who use Vinylbilt windows). The entire process was very positive - everyone was great to deal with! We were replacing vinyl windows that were installed (retrofit) only about 10 years ago. The seals on majority of the windows had broken, and of course the company was now out of business. Because of this, we wanted to ensure that we hired a very reputable company (and manufacturer) that we could trust and have confidence would still be around should anything happen. From our first contact with Advance, the professionalism was evident. The day prior to their estimate appointment with us, they called and confirmed. On the day of, Mark from Advance was running late, and we received a call to let us know of that. Mark was quite informative and gave us the options as well as his opinion as to what would be best for us. We had a lot of questions, and Mark dealt with all of them. He never complained about how many questions we had, or how detailed they were. In the end, we decided to have our windows done brick-to-brick. The install went very smoothly, Jerry and his team arrived on time each of the 2 days. They were all very polite and nice people, but most importantly, they did their job very well! They make sure that all the work is done correctly, not quickly. There would be no hesitation in referring Mark and his team at Advance Windows!

We had purchased new appliances from an outlet store and contacted a number of appliance service companies to have our dishwasher installed. I was surprised at the fact that the majority of them would service an appliance, but would not actually install the appliance. When we looked up Top Tech, we gave him a call. First off, he was very quick to respond and also was willing to come in the following day to perform the installation. He gave us an up-front quote, and mentioned that if the dishwasher install kit/cable was required there would be a set additional charge. When installing the new dishwasher, there was an issue due to the fact that the pipe was at a different location then our previous dishwasher. Before going ahead and drilling new holes in the cabinet, he explained and showed us the issue and made sure to get our consent before going ahead with it. Due to this and some other small issues dealing with the fit of the dishwasher the installation took longer than expected, but there was no additional charge. He also was kind enough to answer some questions and give us some advice regarding our new appliances. I would definitely recommend Top Tech for any future appliance installations and service.

Tony and Cystal were absolutely great to deal with from the start of the process. Once we decided to go ahead with them for the job, the process was pretty straight forward. They gave an estimated start date which allowed us to plan ahead. From the moment Tony's team (Mitch and Kevin) were on site, there was never any issue. They were great with ensuring things were kept clean and organized. They always ensured we were happy with any decision. It so happened that they could not find the exact match for our brick colour. They went to multiple providers and then brought back a few samples for us to decide on. Also, they proposed some brick design changes, but did not move forward until we were ok with them. They were all great to deal with, and we always felt comfortable asking questions to any of the team. They truly work with you to ensure that you are a happy customer. We've actually had a few neighbours also come by and comment on how they love the job and change in brick design. Thank you Straight Up!

I had been having an issue with a couple drains in my condo suite. I contacted my management office to got the contact of the plumbing company that is used for the building. After reading reviews of their service, I decided I was more comfortable calling DrainWorks for the job. I have called them in for an inspection once at my parents place and felt comfortable with them to come into my condo. From the appointment making to the actual service, everyone was great. They gave me various options for time which was helpful and kept me notified for any cancellation spots. On the day of my appointment my time window was between 9am and 1pm. Around 12 noon, I got a call to be notified that the plumber will around right at 1pm, which he did. Matt A. came to perform my job, and was extremely nice. He showed me what he thought the issues were, provided me with an understanding of cost before going ahead. He was very honest and the best part was that he took the time to educate me and show me what I can do to help address certain drain issues in the future. This showed me that he wasnt just there to "take the money and run". A true professional with customer service at heart! I have already told a few people I know, that if they need a plumbing service, I have a company for them!

What more is there to say, but that Dino and his team are real professionals. Dino was great to work with! We had a couple of life matters that pushed the start date of our project back many months but there was never any pushing to sign off on contracts. He's someone who carries the honour of his word and that he did. Dino became not only our contractor, but actually became our friend! Dino and his team (tiler, plumber, electrician - his dad) were great in their work. Anything we had questions about they did not hesistate to ask. Our family is very inquisitive, but they never had an issue with all the questions. The work is great, we are very pleased with how everything turned out in the end as we feel both our projects look great. We definitely got our money's worth in the end and when doing a renovation that's the big thing you want to ensure. I (and my entire family) would highly recommend Dino (Kayland Contruction) for your reno needs! You'll be happy dealing with great people and your finished project will make you happy as well!

Rudy is great to deal with. He (and the team) are very honest and therefore very trustworthy with their work. They did a wonderful job at a very good price. Rudy will adjust the work to ensure you are satisfied. He allows for questions and is more than willing to explain to ensure you (the customer) have an understanding of the work involved. The work they performed was great! It really looks wonderful. The only blip was timing, took a while longer for the job to get started. You had to just be a patient customer and trust that you would be pleased once the work was completed, and I was. I would recommend Glenwood to anyone needing this kind of work. Look forward to working with them again!
