We needed a pro to rebuild our mudroom. After speaking with several contractors on Home Stars, we chose Blue Ladder because they were professional and very responsive. We went through the project specs and project cost with Domenic. He answered every question we had and worked with us to make sure that the cost fit within our budget, while achieving all the essential features that were important to us. The end result far exceeded our expectations. We didn't know our mudroom could look this good. I would hire Blue Ladder again and would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs their project done with the highest quality, within budget and on time.

Royal Tech Aluminum replaced my eavestroughs that were old and leaking and installed new leaf guards. They also relocated a badly-placed downspout that had been tripping people for a long time. Royal Tech Aluminum was very thorough and professional, and the estimate that they provided was reasonably priced. On the agreed-upon work day, they arrived on time, completed the job as described and on scheduled, and cleaned up. Friendly, professional, and reasonably priced. I recommend them and I would hire them again.

Our main shutoff valve was leaking. I called Mr. Rooter and they sent Brian M. to take a look. Brian came right away, inspected the leak, and informed me that the shutoff valve we were using was no longer being produced. Long story short, it wasn't a simple remove-and-replace-the-valve procedure -- we had to replace the pipe that runs from the water main to the house so we can replace the shutoff valve. After we decided to go ahead with the job, Brian and Ihor's crew came within one day and completed the job in 4-5 hours. They cleaned up pretty well after they were done. I think they did a very good job. Thanks Brian and Ihor!

I was issued a red tag by Enbridge for having the gas pipe on the side of the house covered in dirt. I also had a chandelier that needed to be installed, plus a couple of minor jobs (removal of a radiator installed high up in the garage rafters and left by previous homeowner, electrical buzzing from one of my light switches). Mark and Marius came by last Friday and gave me a quotation, which I thought was very reasonable. When I agreed to the price, they said they'd be back on Monday. So Mark and Marius came back the following Monday before lunch and started working. Here's a rundown of the jobs that did onsite: - They dug the gas pipe out of the dirt and installed it higher up on the side of the house so the issue would not happen again. - They installed the chandelier in our dining room. Apparently, the chandelier I bought wasn't the easiest when it came to installation. - They checked the light switch that was buzzing. It turned out I needed to change the bulb to one that is compatible with the light switch. - They brought down a radiator that was installed on the garage rafters by the previous homeowner (for what purpose, I have no idea). The electrical wiring that they cut from the radiator was live so they turn it into an extra electrical socket in the garage. They also helped me take the radiator to the curb infront of the house, which where it was promptly picked up by a lucky passerby early next morning. By the time they finished, it was almost 10PM. They did not leave until all the jobs they came to do were done. They stuck to our originally agreed-upon price and they never grumbled or complained. The House Depot is now my go-to place for my electrical and gas-related services and I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends. Mark and Marius, thank you again for your help!

The chandelier in the living room started popping and emitting sparks before eventually shutting down. I called Trademark Electric around 1PM and they were able to come by the hour within a couple of hours. The electricians they sent (Greg and Chris) were very professional and friendly. It turned out the chandelier had some internal wiring issues, so they suggested either I have it fixed at a lamp store or replaced (it's an old chandelier so I've decided to get a new ceiling lamp). In the meantime, Greg and Chris installed a temporary, regular bulb so we could still use the dining room. Thanks for your help and for coming quickly, guys!

I called Magic Touch last week to ask them to check our fireplace. Fred came by today, inspected the fireplace, and within minutes provided his recommendations, which included replacing the chimney cap (existing one let small animals in) and checking the the walls in the future for cracks. Although he didn't recommend a cleanup, I asked him to do it anyway. In the process, he found a dead squirrel and a bird. Since I've never had a fireplace before, he taught me how to start a fire safely and how to maintain the fireplace. Fred was very helpful, courteous, and professional. I think the cost is also fair and reasonable. I'd recommend hiring him and Magic Touch to friends. Thanks again, Fred!

I called GTA Wildlife earlier today while I was out of the house and Troy said he was in the area (finishing up another project) and could meet me at the house in 45 minutes. He advised me about the price and I said okay. I was a few minutes late and when I got home, Troy told me that he had already fixed my beehive problem in the backyard -- I didn't even have to wait. He also noticed some holes around the house that could potentially cause issues and offered me free advice. GTA Wildlife is fast, efficient, and very professional.
