This is our second time hiring C&X Construction, and again, we are thrilled with the quality of the craftsmanship, the efficiency of the work, and the kindness and diligence shown by Sam and his crew. We asked Sam to update our lighting on the main floor, and refresh our walls and floors. C&X did a fantastic job removing our tired pot lights, and did an amazing job making our walls and ceilings looking better than new (and smooth!). Unfortunately, our window of time to get this work done was limited, and Sam did everything he could to get all the work done (and more!) and get us in our home for Christmas. Proof, yet again, that Sam doesnt just care about your home, but he cares about your family too. Our children call him Uncle Sam, for example. C&X Construction is the only contracting company we consider when we need something done around the house. They are fair and always do their best for you and your home. Thank you Sam!

Renato arrived promptly, and was thorough! His prices are fair, his knowledge is vast, and he did his work with a smile, and he left me with one too. I will continue to work with Renato, and I recommend you do as well.

Jeff has come out to my home for two separate jobs. One was something that he tackled with great facility and speed. The second was a much larger job, which ended up being the city's responsibility. Dealing with the city was challenging and frustrating, but Jeff supported me throughout. He always followed up answering any questions I had, at the cost of his time and energy. Without Jeff's knowledge and kindness, I would have been lost. That Jeff knows plumbing, is understood, but he also knows how this city operates, what the by-laws are and how to deal with Toronto Water. I am grateful for all of Jeff's support, and I will gladly hire his services again, when I need them. You should too.

TL:DR C&X Construction is the best value out there. The work is fantastic. The crew is helpful, kind, and hard-working. C&X Construction prioritizes safety, and quality. They want their work to last. We most definitely recommend C&X Construction. During one particularly bad spring storm, the sewer main backed up and the pressure release was our basement. The insurance company provided us with their contractor, but after they bungled the cleanup, we thought it might be prudent to find our own contractor. We had a few quotes, and some seemed ridiculously expensive, while other contractors seemed uninterested, as if they were going through the motions. Sam from C&X Construction, seemed completely different. After I sent in my request for a quote via homestars, I promptly got a call from Sam. We set up a meeting and he was on time. He asked a lot of questions and really listened to us and what we wanted to achieve. When he spoke, he was earnest and spoke to both me and my wife as though we were all equal partners in the process. Sam submitted a quote that was more than reasonable. We committed to C&X and set up a date for them to begin the renovations. We have three small children and we were forced to remain in the house during the renovations. Sam took great care in ensuring there would be little disruption to our daily lives, and that our children were protected from dust, debris, and any dangers that come with such all-encompassing construction. Sam and his crew work hard. They are committed to doing good quality work. If something isnt quite right, Sam always takes the time to walk you through whatever the hang-up might be, and more often than not, provides a couple of options to completing the work. Every night, Sam and his crew cleaned. They vacuumed and mopped, not only to protect the areas that were not being renovated, but to protect our family. Because the work started while the covid shortages and raw materials costs were soaring, we had many concerns about cost overruns and delays due to a lack of materials. We had few problems in this area. This is purely a testament to Sams connections. He knows everyone, and knows where and how to get whatever he needs to complete a job. In all, we ended up renovating not only the basement, but also the three other bathrooms in the house. All of this was completed because of Sams dogged determination, skill, and connections. Sam is a master contractor. He is incredibly knowledgeable, extremely kind, and very hard working. We are grateful that we took a chance on C&X Construction and wholeheartedly recommend them.

The city sewer backed up and flooded our basement. Val was here the next day with his camera to inspect and ascertain where to put the backflow valve and cleanout. Val was very clear on what needed to be done. He and his crew were punctual, driven, and clean. Val arranged all the permits, met with the city inspector, and walked us through the process of the city's rebates. A flooded basement is a pretty rotten experience, meeting and working with Val almost makes it worthwhile. Hire this man.

I have worked with Joe 4 times now, and I have never been disappointed. We have a rental unit, and if ever anything goes wrong, I know he will not only return my call no later than the following morning, but he will promptly show up to the job site and take care of the problem. Joe is always extremely professional, kind and focussed. It is not uncommon for him to go above and beyond in his service and thoroughly explain not only what he is doing and why, but also how you can keep the appliance running smoothly and extend its life. You will not be disappointed in calling Joe for exceptional work at a fair price. I highly recommend this service. Thanks Joe!
