We hired All Weather Windows to replace 13 windows, and 3 doors on our home. The process began well, with Jackie coming out to measure our windows for an estimate. Unfortunately, problems began to arise on the first day we met the All Weather Windows contractor who would be responsible for installing our windows. The contractor (Matt) missed our initial measurement appointment, and eventually showed up several hours after I contacted him on the phone. He said that he was at a birthday party, and had forgotten about the appointment. After the measurements were completed, we were scheduled for a 3 day window/door installation. Matt showed up on the first day of the installation at noon. He said that he lost his phone charger, and had a falling out with his business partner who had taken his work trailer. Over the next 3 days, Matt left a 25ft Uhaul parked in front of our house, broken glass on our deck and patio, and a pile of old broken windows and doors on our front and back yard. At 2pm on the 3rd day of the installation, Matt told us that he would not be able to finish on time and would have to come back for a fourth day (Saturday) to finish the installation. On Saturday (day 4/3) Matt returned to remove the garbage and to "finish off all of the windows" (with the exception of the entryway). After packing up the garbage, Matt left for the dump at noon. He returned at 5pm, worked for 2 hours, and said that he would have to finish the rest the following Saturday (1 week later). After leaving our unfinished windows exposed to the weather (no silicone, no drip cap) for a week, Matt returned on Saturday (Aug 10th) to "finish the job". After working all day, Matt said that he would need to return on Sunday to finish the job. He said he had another job in the morning, and his Grandma's birthday dinner at 5:00pm. After Matt returned to our house (Sunday, 3:30pm), 2 of our neighbours showed up furious that Matt had been speeding around the the block, around their kids. After working for a few more hours, Matt let us know that he did not have the right materials, and would need to return on Monday to "finish the job". On Monday, Matt finally finished the window installation. He said that he normally does a better job cleaning up afterwards, but was pressed for time, so he "did the best that he could". After he left, we found more broken glass surrounding some of the new windows (inside and outside). Ultimately we are unhappy with the window installation process that All Weather Windows provided. We had been told initially that the job would take 3 full days, and it ended up taking 7 full days of installation spanning almost 2 weeks. Our house was left messy, with broken glass around our doors and on our lawn. Our neighbours are unhappy with us because of the actions of one of your contractors. We are still waiting for a credit from All Weather Windows (Jory) to repair the drywall around our entryway. Your experience with All Weather Windows will only be as good as the contractor who does the installation. No doubt they have many competent, and considerate installation crews, but we were not fortunate enough to have one. We do not know if we will have warranty issues as a result of the installation down the road, but we are hoping for the best.
