I visited the Kennedy store Oct. 21 and found a fridge I was interested in. I was invited back to private sale on Oct. 23 for a better deal. When I came back, I was not offered a better deal, in fact the price was higher than on the 21st. I questioned this, then the manager gave me the same price as the 21st. I asked why I had to come back for this. It took two more discussions with the manager to finally get a further discount that made it worthwhile for me to return to the store. I felt like they were trying to put something over on me and I shouldn't have to work so hard to get a discount I was told I would get. Very disappointed in a company I had dealt with in the past with no problems.

We called Universal when our furnace died last year. Nick came on a weekend, explained what needed to be done, made recommendations and installed the furnace when it arrived. We were very pleased with the work he did. He also hooked us up with a consultant who tested our home for conservation of energy and applied for a number of government grants for us that we didn't know about. Later that year, Nick also installed a new air conditioner for us. This year we will have him install a new water heater. He is a very knowledgable and skilled tradesman and I highly recommend him.

After this company cleaned my family room carpet, it was streaky and blotchy. I waited 5 days to see if it remained that way - it did - and called them and explained the problem. They said they didn't know what caused it and they couldn't do anything about it. I asked that they come and at least look at it. They gave me a date and time and didn't show up without informing me. I called again and got another appointment for the inspection and they didn't show up again. I haven't heard from them since. This family run business is very unprofessional and doesn't deal with problems it created. I highly DO NOT recommend Profected Carpet Cleaning. Next step is small claims court since they are ignoring me.
