We had Land Effects do a complete renovation on a 30+ years old pool and deck. The project included the reconstruction of a multilevel deck (which cantilevers over a ravine) in stone and composite decking, relocation of the pool equipment and construction of a shed for the equipment plus storage, design and construction of a pool water feature and placement and installation of exterior lighting and drainage systems. Keith also recommended the additional tradesmen that were required (pool service, pool marbelite, electrician and gas) and coordinated them throughout the construction period. We had a very general idea of what we wanted. Keith understood us exactly, told us the best ways to get them done plus recommended a number of creative design ideas that were excellent and that we incorporated. He discussed with us our options for design and material and made knowledgeable and well thought out recommendations. From beginning to end Keith kept us constantly informed of the progress as well as the cost. He copied us on all expenses and gave us weekly updates of the ongoing budget. I can't say enough about the quality of the work. It is outstanding. Bob, Roman, Chris, Mike and the others were detailed, careful and highly professional. Any changes due to unforeseen problems were well thought out and thoroughly discussed with us. Their attention to detail was exceptional, We were completely comfortable through out the construction that it would be done right and that no shortcuts would be taken. As well, all the subcontractors that Keith recommended were excellent and dependable. This was a major renovation for us. It took over 9 weeks during one of Toronto's hottest summers to complete. The guys worked full out till the job was done and Keith was present throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend Keith and Land Effects for any job and would gladly hire them again for future work. They were a pleasure to work with. Thanks guys! The backyard is spectacular.

I called Maple Leaf Garage Doors when the spring on my garage door broke. Steve gave me a quote on the phone, arrived as scheduled the next morning, explained the problem, reconfirmed the price and fixed the spring quickly. Altogether a very efficient and pleasant experience. What more can you ask for? Definitely A+++++ service. Would definitely deal with them again.

We had been looking to convert our very large wood fireplace to gas for approx. 2 years. During this time we experienced suppliers that never returned our calls and a number of ridiculously high quotes. We finally went into the Toronto Comfort Zone showroom one day and met Sonny. What a relief. Sonny was extremely knowledgeable of the products available and answered all our questions. He emailed us back that night with his suggestion which turned out to be exactly what we wanted. The cost was very reasonable as was the time frame for delivery. The installers showed up on time. They were very courteous and considerate of protecting the surrounding area. The installation was complete in a matter of hours. We are immensely happy with the final product. I would more than happy to recommend Sonny and his team to anyone. They're the best outfit in the city. Just a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end.

Our pool heater was broken and we had waited 3 weeks for a replacement. Joseph came and got us a new heater installed within 3 days. It was a pleasure to deal with him. He promptly answers all calls and calls you to inform you of timing etc. He did the job quickly and efficiently. I would recommend him to anyone.

We had Matthew fix a broken pipe that led to our outdoor faucet and I was more than impressed with his service. He was able to do the job the next day, was on time and completed the repair faster than I could imagine. The broken pipe was behind drywall and Matthew was able to fix it with minimal mess to the wall and room. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I phoned Steve about installing a garage door opener at my father's home. Since he had an older single piece garage door I was not sure whether or not it could be done. Steve was extremely knowledgeable and could tell from my description and the age of the house what was needed. He and his partner Phil arrived on time and were very courteous and a pleasure to have do the job. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Gary, Brian and their guys are fantastic. When we purchased our new house the attic air conditioning system was not working. We called 3 other companies who all said it could not be serviced. [competitor - ed.] told me the whole system had to be replaced at a cost of $13,000 (the guy who gave the quote did not even go up into the attic to look at it). Gary and Brian came over, found the leak and fixed it for under $1,000. It's been 2 years and it still works great. We later had them come to redo the duct work which had been installed improperly. This was done at a more than reasonable cost on a timely basis and without a mess. It has always been a pleasure dealing with the guys. They will always have my business and I have already recommended them to many of my friends.
