We would leave a NEGATIVE TEN if possible. This company was great when it was owned & run by Paul - new owner Simon is NOT Paul. Simon agreed to take on our small kitchen & bathroom reno - coordinating other service providers, replacing kitchen cabinets & countertop, building a new bathroom vanity, installing baseboards throughout the condo, and installing some custom built-in shelving. After WASTING FIVE WEEKS OF OUR TIME with ongoing promises to show us his sketches & provide us with estimates for the work - NONE OF WHICH WE EVER RECEIVED, Simon completely ghosted us - leaving us completely in the lurch with NOTHING EVEN BEGUN before we had to move in to our new home. We havent had a word from Avalon Industries in over a month now, and the work was supposed to be completed by this date. Although at first we appreciated being told that he couldnt get our estimate to us because of family outings, his brothers birthday, and spending the morning with his tools took precedence, after a few weeks, Simons excuses got pretty tired. We kept with it and continued to communicate with him, having been so pleased with Pauls previous work. Simon never initiated contact, and after working with him for five weeks, we didnt receive even one word of explanation to inform us about why Simon completely disappeared on us. Now were sitting in an unrenovated condo, surrounded by boxes that we cant unpack - thank goodness we hired our own painters, plumber, & flooring installers, instead of relying on Simple Simon to look after that, too. We now have nice walls & floors - but no baseboards, no new kitchen, no updated bathroom, no new lighting fixtures or shelving. For that work, were back to hunting for a new, RELIABLE AND HONEST contractor. Hopefully, whomever Simon is today leading around by the nose with his useless promises, will wise up and find someone new, too, before Simon manages to fritter away weeks or months of their valuable time. We would recommend Avalon Industries to our worst enemies, because were cruel to our enemies. Everyone else, please give the company as wide a miss as possible - they are 100% false promises.

John and his team did a fantastic job bringing my new condo back to life. They did an excellent job painting the ceiling, walls & trim in the entire unit - the place looked brand new when they left! Excellent communication & very competitive prices, too - whats not to love? I would hire Lo-Cost Painters again, & recommend them without hesitation. 10 Stars!
