I had not heard of Rent-a-son before reading about them on Homestars.ca. I decided to hire them based on their excellent reviews, and now I am pleased to add an excellent review of my own. Let me begin by saying that I have moved many times in my life, and I have had many experiences with movers, many of them quite bad. I've had movers show up hung over. Movers who have shown up late. Once a company didn't show up at all. I've had movers who have complained mid-job that the stairs were too high, that the furniture was too heavy, and once I even had a couple of movers threatening to raise the price unless I gave them big tips at the end. I did not give them big tips. Now lets talk about Rent-a-son. Patrick was my contact, and he came over to provide an estimate. He's a very professional and friendly fellow. And his estimate was good too. On moving day, the team showed up exactly on time. The foreman was Justin, along with Andrej and Sylvanus. All three of them are very friendly and professional, as well as very big, and very strong. This made the move go very quickly (faster than the estimated time), because they each were able to accomplish so much, extremely efficiently. Sylvanus carried my old 50" TV like it was a graham cracker. He also made excellent recommendations for furniture placement that got us out of a bind or two. The entire crew had a friendly, helpful attitude all day. Its hard to say enough about them. They were the best of the best. I would definitely hire them again. I give them my highest recommendation.

My 25-yr-old air conditioner died on the hottest day (of course). Hector fixed it with a new motor and some other parts. I have zero doubt that a less honest technician would have tried to sell me a new unit (and I probably would have agreed). But Hector is a man of integrity, and that, in my opinion, is one of the single best attributes a service person can possess. I am very pleased to be writing this review in the comfort of my now very cool home. Thank you so much Hector and HMA.

I hired Jussi and his team 4 years ago to finish my basement, on the advice of a neighbour whom Jussi has worked with. JPM did an excellent job for us. Whenever I had any questions (even years later) Jussi was never more than a phone call away, and was always a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. I regularly see his trucks and equipment around the area...this is no "fly by night" operation. Now I am moving to a new house, and I have already been in touch with Jussi to discuss some renos. JPM is an excellent company. Jussi and his team have my highest recommendation.
