My husband and I recently moved into a new house, and it soon became apparent that we had a critter problem due to scratching noises coming from the attic. When we research companies for a particular job, we usually call at least two or three to get an estimate. Raider was the first company I called, and after speaking with Chris, I realized it wasn't necessary to call anyone else. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and not the least bit pushy. When Chris came for the estimate, it was clear where mice were getting in all around our house, including the attic. He explained what needed to be done, and two of his people came soon after and sealed up all entry points. Chris also dropped by after with some traps for the mice who couldn't find their way out again, because the house was so well sealed. Problem solved! We found Mason Painting Services on Homestars and we're really glad that we did. Our house was looking a bit tired, with baseboards that needed some work, and a bathroom that needed to be entirely repainted. Javier did excellent work, and our house looks totally refreshed. Towne Contracting is a company that is genuinely concerned that you are completely satisfied with your final product. We needed to completely re-do our upstairs main bathroom this past summer. We have all heard the stories of renovations gone horribly wrong- so I was a bit nervous about hiring a contracting company that we have not worked with before. After our experience with Steve Meze and his crew at Towne Contracting, it turns out that we had nothing to worry about. They took care of us right until the end. During the renovations, there were a couple of things we were not satisfied with. The bath/shower area was a challenge since our walls are quite uneven- and we unfortunately chose an overparticular I-inch glass mosaic running up to the ceiling, combined with a wave-like tile. The first time around did not go as planned. For anyone. But I knew it wasn't going to be a problem- and it wasn't. The next day it was re-done, and at no extra charge. Then the light fixtures didn't end up exactly where we wanted them initially- again no problem- the next day they were simply moved to the right spot. After all, when doing renovations, you are the one that has to live with it. The people from Towne Contracting who worked in our home were respectful, quiet and pleasant to be around, and made our renovation a positive experience: the way renovating should be.

Riti Glass and Windows Ltd. - excellent product, excellent service, and excellent people. We completely renovated our upstairs main bathroom this past summer. The final part of the renovation was to enclose the shower and bathtub area with glass to the ceiling and a swivel door. Since we had already gone well over budget, I needed to find an economical solution for the glass enclosure, and someone recommended Riti Glass and Windows. I knew as soon as I walked into the showroom, it was the right choice for us- everyone was friendly and professional throughout the entire process. Every time the installers came, they were always punctual, and even called when they were arriving a bit later than than the arranged time. After our installation, we were happy with the result. After several days, I was disappointed to discover that there was a rather deep 2-inch scratch right in the middle of the glass. I didn't know how this could have possibly happened, as we had all looked at it when it was just completed. So I phoned the company, and instead of blaming me for the problem-as would be the case for most people- they completely replaced it, and added an extra clip fastened to the ceiling for extra safety. They did not charge for the glass- the only cost was a nominal fee for the labour. Rest assured- you are in good hands with Rajat and Riti Glass. We highly recommend them!

Joe at Snap Pest Control is a pleasant guy for an unpleasant problem! We moved onto our first ravine property a year ago and have had our fair share of unwanted critters in and around our home. I happened to call Snap Pest Control soon after we moved in to deal with a mice problem we had. Joe came and took care of it at a very reasonable price- and since then, no more mice in the house. Then over the course of the summer, we had raccoons making a mess of our deck, squirrels chewing away at the roof, then swarms of bees making their nests in the backyard too. Over time, Joe took care of all of these problems with just a few visits- again at a very reasonable cost. You can rely on Joe- if he says he will be there to help you, you can be sure that he will. What a relief to know that we can depend on friendly, professional help to maintain a pest-free home, which enables us to enjoy living on the ravine.
