Booked for unit defroster not functioning. Technician tested parts and diagnosed replacement motherboard - $145 installation fee, on top of initial $225 diagnosis. Problem not resolved. Technician returned to state defroster thermostat was issue - wanted another $482. I resolved issue by purchasing $29 thermostat from Amazon. Technician was clearly guessing what root cause of issue was, rather than specific diagnostic testing using multimeter and conclusive diagnosis.
