They repaired a early 1900's women's watch. They were polite and seemed fairly knowledgeable. My watch stopped tickeing after 6 months - i would not have spent that much money if I knew it would not work?!
The eavestroughs and downpipes were qucikly installed by the team, however there were bits of metal from the trimming scattered on teh ground, they moved the satellite dish cables so they just hung over the eavestroughs and blew in the wind. As well when I called - a number of times - to have one part of the downspout corrected, I was told they were not in the area/did not have time...after nine months I stopped calling and will hire someone else. My reco - make sure you are home to check what they do before they leave ...they are not into details and they will not return?!
This store is great -- we had gone to many other companies but until we went to the Door Store we did not feel there was much choice. This store has doors -- tall short, dark, light, absolutely beautiful old doors. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Start your door search with these guys.
furniture restoration and refinishing
Cil and her partner do absolutely amazing work. They have refinished our previously beyond ugly 1800's bedroom suite to its former glory. Not only do they know how the old pieces should be constructed, they know where to find period replacement pieces such as screws for the drawer pulls that came from the UK over 150 years ago. They know their stuff, are detail oriented and are great to work with.
