After 35 years, our kitchen was ready for a do over. I dutifully contacted 3 contractors and we agreed on Valentini Kitchens. the first thing that impressed me was Piero's willingness to listen to our needs and wants. Following our initial telephone conversation he came out to our house laden with samples of a variety of floor, counter and backsplash products. We really loved our oak cabinets and wanted to keep them. This made it a bit more tricky to work around, but Piero assured us it was doable. My vision was a Tuscan kitchen and Piero enthusiastically began to create this. We were leaving on vacation for a month and thought this would be a good way for the team to work on their own and for us to have to live with a minimum of mess.During the time we were away, Piero's brother Tony sent pictures showing the progress and letting us know when issues developed as they opened walls and found that things needed readjusting and strengthening. Tony is all about safety and attention to detail. He takes great pride in his work and is meticulous when it comes to finishing and adding pieces. He even told us that we needed to upgrade our smoke alarms. Paul, Frank the Electrician, Joao the Painter, Peter the Plumber and Roany the Tile man could not have been more professional and pleasant. Their work was topnotch. In the bathroom area we removed a closet and added a corner shower. The first shower fixtures did not work in the space and Piero immediately found other fixtures that worked. He texted and sent me pictures and made sure that I was pleased with the result. Olivia, Piero's wife came over when the job was done and did a very thorough cleaning of kitchen and bathroom. She is a designer on her own and gave me some great tips on coordinating colours and window treatments. This is truly a family affair as the business was originally started by Piero and Tony's father. How proud he would be of his boys!!!!!
