My boyfriend and I were both relocating at the end of the month from two separate condos to two new condos, yet a week before the move we still hadn't booked movers. I was convinced I wouldn't need movers for my move since I had fewer items and more help (from family) to get the job done, while he on the other hand wouldn't be able to manage without them. Our busy work/travel schedules distracted us from planning ahead about the move and as a result, I was left scrambling to find him (and possibly me) some movers at the last minute. After calling pretty much every reputable mover in the city (about 10), I quickly realized that not prioritizing booking movers was a HUGE mistake; everyone was booked on the 31st! However, a prayer and one last phone call, and I was put in touch with A & C Movers (via another company that was completely booked but kindly referred me to A & C because they knew the guys there). I called Fabyan and begged for him to fit one last move into his schedule on the busiest moving day of the month - the 31st! He was, after all, my last hope... So despite being fully booked (I believe he had 4 or 5 moves to do that day) he agreed to take our request and move my boyfriend at the end of the day. Talk about being flexible and very accommodating!
Fabyan and his team were fantastic; cordial, polite and very professional. He called us a day before the move to confirm we still on track with our schedule; he also called the day of the move to give us his ETA prior to arrival and always answered when we called to confirm the move time or changes. When they arrived at the condo to pick-up my boyfriend's belongings, Fabyan started by assessing the unit and what had to be moved and then he and his team pack-up some the items that had not yet been packed before starting to move boxes and furniture. They had plenty of blankets and plastic wrap to cover the TV, sofa, computer desk and other more fragile items. They loaded the truck carefully to ensure they could easily get to items to unload them and that larger items wouldn't topple over small ones. Everything was were very well arranged in the truck and it was not crammed.
We arrived a little later than anticipated at the new condo and could not use the service elevator. Fabyan was quick to help solve the issue by offering to keep my boyfriend's belongings overnight and coming back very early the next day to finish the job, even though it was his day off! He called us the next morning to give us his ETA and was there on time to finish the job quickly.
He was very open and clear about pricing so when all was said and done there weren't any surprises.
Two days later it would be my time to move; I contacted Fabyan again the day before my move realizing I wouldn't be able to do it- despite the help that I had- without movers too. Fabyan kindly agreed to do the move and was there on time to pick up and drop of my belongings at my new condo. They helped with wrapping items and everything and again all my belongings were safely arranged in their truck. Despite my underestimating the time it would take, A & C Movers finished the job without overcharging me. They were fair and honest about the cost.
I highly recommend A & C movers for any move; they are very experienced, quick and fair with their pricing and made the move so much less stressful than it could have been. Also they're great guys to chat with!
