We live in a 50 plus year old house and wanted a gas fireplace in the living room some 40 feet away from the gas meter. About 1/2 of the basement below is finished and I thought for sure they would need to get the gas outside and attach to the foundation below the siding or cut open loads of drywall. Sterling was able to fish the gas line through a heating bulkhead and over to the fireplace without a splice in the line. This save us $250 to $300 because the distance was shorter and they charge by the foot. He did need to cut a 10 inch hole on the bulkhead at the end and about the same in the floor beside the fireplace which is covered by the custom mantel. Protech submitted a permit and scheduled an inspection with the city. Installed on a Thursday, inspected the following Wednesday and Sterling was back the day after inspection to remove the test and do the final hookup. Less than 2 weeks from first contact until job complete.
