After spending 18 years in our Oakville home, I decided this was the year to install an irrigation system. Knowing the value of Homestars.ca from a news story I reported earlier this year (as a television consumer reporter), I felt confident in using this review service to narrow down my choices. The two companies I considered were both reviewed favourably on Homestars.ca and I asked for quotes from both. In the end, I chose Custom Lawn Sprinkler in Mississauga. The owner, Dietard, came on location and quoted the job he sent us his quote and recommendations in the old-fashioned mail. Compared to other providers, it was not the cheapest but in my opinion, it was a very fair price for the service provided. The crew of five showed up at my house promptly last Friday and worked hard from 7:30 a.m. until about 8:00 p.m. They were nearly done but came back Monday to install some extra nozzles (the unit was working as of last Friday, however). The Custom Lawn people knew what they were doing. They were prompt, answered all questions, did their best to minimize the mess around the home, and delivered what I hope will be an outstanding product that lasts for many years. Joel (son of the owner) was on-site today again to make custom adjustments to all the sprayers and to teach me how to work the system. These are the kind of people I love to hire for a project. With 40 years in business, I am confident that Custom Lawn will be there when I need them.

I found Ron when looking for an electrician to wire a new hot tub. Ron came to the house, assessed the whole job, then quoted a very fair cost for the project. Ron did an exceptional job. I was so impressed we had him back to install pot lights in the kitchen, to change switches in the house, to handle wiring for a new kitchen and to make changes in our utility room. Ron always shows up on time, is reasonably priced, does the job right and is a pleasure to work with. I can wholeheartedly recommend Ron to anyone in the Oakville/Burlington area looking for an excellent electrician.
