The freezer fan started making a horrible noise on our 7 yr old Bosch fridge so we called Evgeny to have him come by to address the issue. Service, professionalism and personality was top notch from beginning to end. Communication was very good and was a pleasure to work with. The fridge itself was a little complicated but, having worked on the model before, Evgeny was efficient and replaced the fan in a timely manner. He cleaned up very well and was extremely courteous throughout the job. Great guy to converse with and we will definitely call on him for any future needs. Thanks Evgeny!

I hired Andy and his crew to re-shingle my entire roof of my house after hearing great things about his company through a relative who had her house done previously. She said a few neighbours of hers on her street also hired Sunrise so she could see that they do great work. His crew came as scheduled in the morning and was in and out in 1 day. They used Iko shingles -- the good stuff -- so I knew they didn't cut costs with materials. I came back home to a new roof. I didn't go up there to inspect it up close but it's been about 5 years since I had it done and I haven't had any issues. After the job I just had to have my gutters cleaned out really well due to the leftover shingle debris that accumulated in my eavestroughs. No big deal and Sunrise would've had to beyond the call of duty to keep those clean! I referred a friends and colleagues to Sunrise and they've had nothing but great things to say. I really couldn't find another company that could beat Sunrise in terms of quality of workmanship, professionalism and value for the money. I also had Andy come back recently to do a small job which was having some sagging eaves fixed. It was only $150 and I thought it would be too small for him but he came down from Markham on a Sunday and did it for me anyhow. Stellar company!

My eavestroughs needed cleaning very badly. They were all gunked up from a previous roofing job and the last I had them cleaned the people I hired weren't very thorough. Magic Monkey however were absolutely fantastic -- they returned my calls and gave me an estimate in a timely fashion, spent time to hear out my concerns and asked questions for greater clarification, and did a thorough cleaning. I won't hesitate to hire them again to clean my gutters.

After a few quotes I went with Sammy from Smarthome Renos mainly from the good reviews from this site. He began the project August 2008 and finished February 2009 turning a totally gutted basement into a basement apartment which included a kitchen and bathroom. Overall he did a great job and I was satisfied with his work. The work took a bit longer than I would've like because of a few things out of Sam's control (other contractors coming and going like the waterproofing guys and the tankless water heater installers, some helpers he hired that didn't work out, etc.) but it was understandable given the circumstances. Sam's a very accomodating and friendly guy. He's professional and works in a cooperative manner, letting me know what's going on each step of the way. His rates are very competitive and oftens over-delivers on his promises -- no kidding. Sam's a good contractor and I'd definitely recommend him to for anyone doing a home reno project.

Called up Shane and set up a time to meet for an estimate. He worked with another guy named Greg on this job since I had some concrete work to do in conjunction with the masonry work. Greg did the concrete and cinder block work, and Shane did the brick work. Shane gave me a quote and stuck with it, he's completely straight forward and honest -- my kind of guy. He did his work very diligently and with pride. He finished on time and cleaned up after the job was done. His work -- in my eyes -- was flawless. I won't hesitate to hire him again.

I had 2 estimates for removal of asbestos around my hot radiator pipes in my basements plus the tiles from 60's. I'm planning a basement renovation which is mainly why I wanted the work done. Asbescan's quote was more than half as much as the other company which would normally make me uneasy but fortunately I found them here with favourable reviews -- always a good thing. The work was done in about 5 hrs and they left the job site clean and the work was fantastic. They dropped off a air quality test which was under provincial standards, and I gave them a cheque -- they didn't even ask for a deposit! Great guys, Marcello's always in touch, I'm very pleased with their work.
